CRI - Corporate Research International. Tell me Everything.

Hey everyone.

Thanks for your suggestions to join this site. I just got the feedback on my first assignmnet and recieved 5 stars!! I was pround of myself.

It says it should be sept 3rd before I start recieveing payments so they can verify my account and all.

I am curious how often you get paid, how many assignments are usually available in the area, how frequent the same assignments come up, and anything else you want to share with me.

Thanks! Everything is appreciated.

I rarely do CORI jobs any more because I have too many other companies that I like to work with more. But throughout the industry generally a client has a location shopped once a month or once a quarter, with some clients having multiple shops done per month, sometimes at different times of day. How many shops are available in an area depends on how many of the client's locations are in the area. Most generally there is a rotation on shops and depending on the client you are allowed to revisit the location usually after 30, 60 or 90 days. I have seen rotations as high as 540 days and some 'only once ever' for some locations. I have also seen a few shops with no rotation at all.

I believe CORI is one of those companies that pays every two weeks. Industry standard tends to be 4-6 weeks.

One of the things you will note with CORI is that their shops start with a very low fee and if not taken, the fee on them begins to grow. It becomes a game of chicken--how high can the fee grow before another shopper in your area grabs the job? Where you decide to jump in and take the job depends on when the job is paying enough to be worthwhile for you to take it. Most companies don't play this game. They initially offer their work at prices enough shoppers find worthwhile to get their job board cleared and they then they bonus only the last few shops that nobody took in order to get them done.
Yes, I would second that. The ridiculously low fees then go up higher as they become more desperate. I do believe they pay weekly. So far, I have liked that aspect as well as they are not incredibly picky and go back over your shops with you.
Jay, if you watch at the beginning of the month, you'll see gas shops at $3 and home improvement stores for $4, etc. At this time of month, I did a home improvement for $20 and some gas shops for between $8-10. I went ahead and took the gas shops because some other shopper was snatching them all off the board and I figured I might as well get some of them. I also do well by traveling out about 75 miles and picking up all the stuff "out there" They usually mark up those shops because there aren't as many shoppers in the outlying areas.
thanks guys.

i did notice the compensation go up. I saw one at 4$ and figured i didnt want to do it and now it is at $10. So I am waiting for it to go up some more.

Fortunately for me, there are not a WHOLE lot of people in my area that do this sort of thing. I mean... I live in a small town. I am sure the ones that require city travel will be snatched sooner.

And the fact that they are not picky seems great for a beginner like myself.

Thanks for the answers on the pay time - that is what has me the most concerned is earning my first compensation. or recieving it rather since i have already earned it! lol
The road trip approach mentioned is great. Not only with CRI but I check several job boards on the last two mondays of the month. I can usually have a $300.00 day for a 75 mile drive. Some CRI jobs pay well from the start but others are like red wine.
Jay Linn,

Don't worry about your pay with Cori..,they are the best of the best in that area. On your main page, go to "My history" and then click the tab that says "payment history". You will be able to track your payments paid and those that are pending once you are verified on their system. They will even send you an email telling you early in the week what will land in your bank account on Friday.

Just be patient while they verify the whole bank process. They are one of the companies that are known for prompt payments. And one other tip with them, what your email carefully in case any of your shops end up on "error" while you are learning the various shops. Those have a 24 hour response time for you to get back to them.

Enjoy shopping!
Laura
