Finally...the definitive list of 10 WORST MSC's to get involved with

Hmm. This is not a mystery shop report. Elsewhere, someone mentioned that our behaviors on this type of thread might be interpreted as the truth of ourselves. The OP and everyone else can insert as many opinions into this as they way to without risk of reduced score or rejected report and non-payment.

Here's my opinion. The OP chose a creative way to emphasize their point about one MSC. As the thread progressed, additional information came to light. The OP mentioned an incident involving themselves and another MSC. The OP insinuated that one poster did not have mental ability. Other posters provided agreement, variance, support and snark variously throughout the thread. In my opinion, this is e pluribus unum thread that deteriorated into base meanness. It is forum politics as usual. But are we reflecting our real selves here? Who knows?

@dreamweaver2....have you joined any of the IMSC groups on Facebook? They are well moderated and I find those groups to be helpful as well. There are groups where Schedulers, Shoppers, and Editors communicate respectfully.
parkcitybrian ...Thank you for sharing your personal rant about Bare International. I agree that 'sport' is disgusting and I sure don't want to support it.
Wow! This is good to know. Thank you thank you thank you! I just started 4 months ago. I've been using presto quite a bit. I really want to use this business for good part-time money, but Im already a bit burnt out.
Sometimes you just can't win. I have done quite a few evaluations on banks for one particular company. The initial scores I got were.8-10s and now, after some confusion and lack of answering my question, I was.late on a report. After about 6 evals I get another editor who gives me a lower score for not double spacing between paragraphs. (Their example narrative still shows single spacing throughout) She had alot of other requirements I had not been aware of before. How do you handle things like this? It doesnt seem like there is any recourse. I have recieved a 6 and 5 now! Completely blowing my average! I'm a percectionist so its particarly hard on me. Have got to get tougher! I don't want to say anything more because I don't want be black balled, through their access.to MSPA. I don't know how to handle these things in the future.
Never really had a problem with Intellishop. I started out with them and they were my only MSC for awhile. So the rejection of shops I thought was just normal for the industry. But they are actually the only MSC that has arbitrarily returned my shops. I used to do a ton of work for them. I learned how to conduct shops and write reports thru them. I don't shop for them now because they don't pay enough compared to my regular jobs. But at the time that was all I knew and I did OK. Never tried Cirrus and from this post, I bet I won't either. Taking heed of the warnings. One I won't shop for again is Amusement Advantage because their report on a water park was actually never-ending and your pay was 2 free tickets back to the same water park. NO reimbursement and I spent $187 completing all of the tasks that they asked for. Then the report...I mean there were over 250 questions, mainly narratives, easily. I worked 10 hours on it and actually never did finish it. They then hounded and threatened me to pay them back the $32 for my free pass I used to get in the park. In net 10. But they pay in 60 days. So I told them our terms together when you are paying has been 60 days. They called and emailed me daily. OK I could of just paid them but it was the principle of the matter. Net 10? ha ha

Strange. I have done that shop at least six times. It takes me less than 2 hours at 20 wpm. I have never spent more than $50 out of pocket either.
Uh...I have three cats but hate the Sound of Music. Can I put some Metallica or Waylon Jennings on instead? Nix the chamomile for a Four Peaks IPA. I have a big dog in place of the snuggie. No knitting either but I make killer construction paper hand turkeys!

Thank you, moosehoose...I didn't realize this forum was filled with with 'snark-loving', know-it-all, jump in to criticize anyone who happens to offend those who think they are so much better than anyone else...NO, I'm not a new shopper...but new to this Forum, and sad to say its a huge disappointment...
The purpose of this was to bring shoppers together and to help each other out, but all I see are snide, demeaning comments about a person's mental capacity OR the honesty of how they may have performed a shop...(this wasn't about me).
What a bunch of snooty, ....... well, I won't join them in berating anyone they disagree with...I'm SOOOOOOO terribly sorry to have offended 'parhcitybrian' who posted the original message about the 10 worst shops...
Glad I'm an honest, law-abiding citizen so I'd never have to have any of this bunch on a jury panel for me...certain to be convicted....And Brian, I don't NEED you to 'cut back the snark'...who the heck are YOU, anyway?
Pathetic!

oh, my...hurt fee-fees and tender sensibilities have been bruised. i'm hardly offended by disagreement but yugely (with attribution to you know who for that one) offended that you failed to understand the original posting.

and..there is plenty of useful info on this forum (including mine with substantiation).

suggestion: make a nice cuppa chamomile, don your snuggie, curl up with 3 cats, knit a nice scarf and put the sound of music on endless loop.

but, feel free to keep clutching your pearls, francine
I like origami. Metallica and Waylon, talk about music diversity! I get it.

I did a $25 bonused pizza shop for IS just yesterday, received a grade of 10 within a few hours, and know that they will pay me as I have never had a rejection. However, it s's a pick and choose situation with that MSC. I won't touch a car shop with them for less than $42 and I like it when they pay more on those. I do their oil change shops every couple of months because everyone needs an oil change. I did the casino shops for them and LOVED them. Their client lets you keep your winnings, and I played slots. Interestingly, you put $80 in a machine, play for 30 minutes, and whatever comes out is yours to keep and you are reimbursed the $80 regardless. Do a comedy show, eat at several food outlets (I was stuffed by the time I was done), visit the bar, do three cocktail interactions (I had to arrive early and sip slowly throughout the 8 hours), and get paid a fee on top of it. I came out great because I can manage to sit and drink and very SLOWLY play the machines so that almost all of that $80 came back to me with each slot interaction and sometimes more if I was lucky. Usually netted $200 in about 8 hours on that one not including food and drink reimbursements. Way back when they had some greeting card shops that paid $7 and were ridiculous for the amount of work involved. That's what a $17 car shop is too: ridiculous. And doing a pizza shop for reimbursement only? NEVER.

Do they have more than one casino shop? I do one with them sometimes that require table play in addition to slots. I made out very nicely the last time I did one.
If you have not yet had trouble with IS, count yourself as being extremely unique and lucky.
