New to Maritz, any tips or suggestions

I've signed up for many MSCs. I'm most familiar with MF and Sassie layouts. But this company seems alittle different.

Is there generally a quick turn around for decisions when you request a shop?

Do you find the website easier to use than the app? I've tried the app but keep getting confused with all the job options and lack of it specifying location.

What's with the submit invoice option? Is this different than most other MSCs where I have to manually start an invoice for payment?

What's everyone else's experience with them? Is it mostly positive? They don't offer much in my area but figured I'd grab the ones I could and try them out

When you perform a shop, at the end of it, you submit an invoice. It generally autopopulates your job fee and agreed bonus if you got one, but you'll have to enter your receipt amount and it will tally you up. You can then submit the invoice or add other shops to it. You will need to fully report the shop before submitting the invoice, though.

They are great, the pay like clockwork. In fact, they are so efficient with that, that every now and then you'll see the post on here wondering where it was when it wasn't a day early. Some of the shops take time to learn, but once you do, you'll have a routine when you do them, that they are not difficult. Occasionally an editor will make you want to pull your hair out, but what MSC doesn't? Make sure you invoice. It's a simple 20-second procedure. If you do it right after you report the shop, then that to, becomes second nature. It is something different then most other MSC's. When I worked in accounts receivable in the real world, all account holders had different nuances about them too when sending bills. Perhaps that's why I joke about people getting annoyed by the invoicing aspect. Everyone doesn't do things the same way and MSC's are no exception. I'd love if we didn't have to, but it takes 20 seconds.

Use the app to easily see whats out there, but use the website to assign shops. Use the call feature on your phone when you can't self assign.

agree w/invoicing right away after submitting each shop. too many people come here to complain abot not being paid only to find out that they never sent invoice. easy peasy like tcur says.

many martiz shop huidelines say not to use app so read carefully or call team member if u arent sure.
To be successful with Maritz, I believe one of the easiest ways is to do your homework when doing shops that are new to you. Study the guidelines. Take the quiz and open the guidelines in another tab so that you can look for any answer you are not 100% sure of and pass it the first time. The Maritz system is set up to award points for passing quizzes the first time, and for doing it promptly, among other things like prompt debriefing. Remember that the higher your internal score, the more likely they are to call you when they need something done ASAP that involves a nice bonus.

where did u find this award points system
their team members usually dont know much about their own shops nevermind what happens in background.
Did 2 shops for them today, used their app as recommended. The software to link to the camera is wonky. I checked the website a few hours after submitting the shops. One shop was on hold, for the receipt image. I was not emailed or callled about the problem. The website allowed me to upload a better receipt image.

If they have an issue with a report, do they not notify us?

They can be slow to reply to emails. I ended up having a few issues on a couple of gas station routes, but they worked with me to straighten things out.

One important thing with them is to resize all your photos down to about 200KB each. Either change your phone settings or use a graphics program after transferring to your computer. Their system will not accept even an average number "normal" size photos.

My Masters degree specialization is in distance learning, so I am extra sensitive when it comes to online workflow. Theirs is not the greatest, with a UI that often is not intuitive. One habit I have gotten into is to wait to post photos until the report has been fully submitted. They have links for photos with every survey question, but the back and forth between the form and a different page is not particularly efficient.
CoolMusic hoping you can help. I am having problems getting my pictures to their specs. Is the the 4:3 or 16:9 or 1:1 you mentioned as 200kb? Do pics have to be transferred to computer first? Also, I have windows 10 and does not support 640 x 480 apparantely. Help pls thanks!
My suggestion to anyone working for this MSC is to have a dedicated digital camera set at the Email setting that is typically sized to the 640 x 480 size. I always download my pictures to my traveling, dedicated laptop before leaving the site. I review each photo and, if necessary, label them.
If you have trouble with your sizing and need to resize, I suggest searching online for a free resizing program. I use (sparingly) the the resizing program that the old MSC (offered for free) that lost most of its clients to this MSC. I'm not sure if it still offers the program, though.

The most important thing to know about Maritz is that they communicate by phone. It is a bit wierd, but they just don't live by e-mail.

This is has been my experience. If you send them a message through the Contact Us link they will respond with a phone call.

Also, I thought this was important. I had done a route of 7 gas station shops and entered the invoices all at the same time. When I looked back in the history of my shops two of the shops were missing. The most highly bonused shops! I was pretty upset. But I waited to see what would happen. Today I received a payment for all 7 shops. I have no idea why those two did not show up but I'm glad I was patient because I was paid for them. Whew!
