Are people really doing the Intellishop fast food shops for NO PAY? Mystery Shopping Discussion

Is it worth it if you simply want the seasonal drink?
Let's put it like this. I ordered the eggnog latte. it was ok. (I drink coffee or cappuccino usually. But their chocolate chip cookies are to die for. If I was in the area and had the money I'd do it again.

I've been quiet on this, but I got yet another email about these (seriously...probably the 10th one today) with the subject line praising these to be "literally the simplest shop."

Pics without revealing myself and having to report within an hour doesn't even come close to the simplest.

On that coffee train. There's one for another company that requires you to order a latte and pastry, with a $6 reimbursement so it's *barely* enough to cover. THE FEE IS $3. Plus you have to ask a question, which is more work than the SeeLevel. I won't do it on principle even though it's 100 yards from my office. I've done the SeeLevel ones to fill time in between routes.
I simply love everyone's reply. Only Intellishop will do this kind of assignment. I de-activated from their web-site long ago. This is a 10 Foot Pole Shop. Thank you to all who gave up your time to write your remarks about this company. I wonder what they are thinking in their office, when they put this type of assignment out..
Are there any Intellishop shops worth doing?

I started with them years ago in order to get free food. Now I don't get their e-mails or check the website any longer.

Don't they do the pizza shops that the NSS used to do? Are those still reimbursement only? I used to like doing those with NSS as they often gave me bonuses.
There are people doing their shops or they would not be in business and they seem to get new clients frequently. They must get shops based on price.
I am doing a lot of pizza shops with Intelli-shop, and have gotten flat fees ranging from $5-$15 depending on when in the month it is. They've been fine to work with in my opinion. That said, I wouldn't touch the fast food thing for oh-so-many reasons....
Big news on the IS Fast Food shops nobody wants!!!!! I see this morning that in my area the fee is up to $4.00!!!! Whoppee!!!!!!! <JK> Sorry Intelli-Shop, still not interested.

Of course. People shop for different reasons.

I was curious who you were talking about, and I live right across the street from one of these. In fact, everywhere I've lived in my current city, I've been closest to one of "them" and of course, do not like. The only thing I've ever gotten with regularity is the iced coffee. They've downsized it last time I tried.

Making matters worse, these restrictive shops must be done for BREAKFAST. I wouldn't even mind trying a breakfast sandwich of some kind, but no, ain't gonna have a stale burger and fries in the morning. And I would have to get in my car to go through the drive thru when I can more easily just walk.

PS mine are not reimb only. $8 reimb, $2 fee, $2 bonus. That would not be the worst deal I've taken. But still, no.
I just noticed on the job board that some have the $4 fee but there are 2 of them that only have a $3 fee. LOL I'm sure gonna jump on those. <JK> I did notice when I looked out of curiosity at the breakfast ones that breakfast is considered up until 10:59 am so it's almost what I would consider lunch time (I get up at 4:30 am just so you don't think I'm totally nuts). But still, just no. They must think there are a lot of suckers out there.

No pizza for me not even for double reimbursement. If you want me to buy a pizza, after a year of pizza you better add a 20 dollar bonus. I'll eat all of two pieces of it and give the rest to my better half.
at first, I didn't really catch that the drive-in shops were 4 bucks cuz well I had rarely ever been there, I've slowed down all of my ff, fc period. the novelty of free food kind of wear's off after a while. Send me a Razoo's, a Copeland's or a Beni Hana's and I might be interested.

Yes. I work for them when I see a shop that appeals to me and has the right price. It's just a matter of being patient.

Hard work builds character and homework is good for your soul.
I did one, just because it was very close to my bank. I won't do another one. Too much work, too little pay.
Yeah, I am seeing a lot of those lately. I thought the same thing.. "really? someone would take that?"
Have you seen the new candle audit? I mean like really go pay 40 bucks for a long burning candle and check it out for no pay? reimbursement only? I mean really??? I guess they forgot again that we want to make some money?I guess if you love candles that much? naw I think I'll buy a couple of scented candles at the grocery store (shop of course)!
I haven't seen that one. Maybe they don't have any in my area? I don't know.

I am new to mystery shopping and thank you for the advice. Keep Intellishop at the bottom of the list.
Well, they keep us at the bottom of the list so I say we return the favor.
LOLOL.. just got that email for "literally the simplest shop EVER" - NOTHING with 5 pics is ever that simple. Period!
I wonder if you could do a return after this assignment.

Not saying don't do any for intelli, just be selective and wait till they bonus them. Never do a free shop for any company. unless it's something really special like a full reimbursement on a tablet or laptop or a really really nice date (like a steakhouse).as a trained observer, mystery shopper your skills are valuable not to be taken for granted. would you go work for someone for free just because they offered you a free lunch? of course not. Make sure if you do take a "reimbursement only" shop you read the guidelines and the survey itself. You don't want to take it and then realize it's more work than you thought it was. They put a eat out restaurant on my boards, for a virtual 50 dollar visa payment. I read the guidelines thoroughly before taking it. the visa is only good at the same restaurant. I didn't take it.

lol @ spicy yea with a half burnt candle, too funny. now that would be worth it, 40 dollar refund with a 40 dollar reimbursement so that's a 40 dollar profit.

I do it for my dogs. They love burgers.
I did the candle one and it’s reimbursement only. The place was on my way home and I burn candles anyway. But it was a discount place so the candies only cost $13 total. Too bad they weren’t highly scented!
I've done a few of the fast food shops. The entire amount is now a payment... I will usually do them when they're up to $15. I spend about $7. If it's a late night shop, you don't have to go in if the dining area is locked, so you just take a pic of the building, the menu, and your food. Usually takes me about 10 mins.
Not suckers, necessarily. There are people who work for food, groceries, gas, etc. If that's what they want, then that's okay.

Ok, well $7 a shop is a sucker shop........to me then.........and only to me. Let's see your report when you did a $7 shop for a burger and fries and no drink.
