Grrrr The Source Scheduler

So they text me begging to take a shop for Friday/Saturday and offer a shockingly good PAD. I agree figuring I can fit it in on Saturday. Just now, I get an email saying it's been changed and it must be done today. Um, nope. So I text the guy that assigned it and say I can't do it today, I can do it tomorrow and his response is just "not at all tonight?" No, what did you think "I can't do it tonight" meant? So he acts like he's doing me this big favor by keeping it on Saturday and then says that I need to do it right at noon when the time frame starts. Nope, unassign me. Why do I ever think dealing with their schedulers is a good idea? Am I the only one that has horrible luck with their schedulers?

No trouble with schedulers, only pad, but, they have all the same shops that need to be done this weekend.
I take the one 2 miles from me and ask for pad, mind you, I never get pad, but didn't want to do it, am busy, and
it's accepted, so I'm doing it in shock.....5 minute job, nice pay, close by...yahoo..

I don't usually have issues, but I have had them beg me to get it done at that time. I usually go in and write a comment in the comments box on the shop like "I live in a rural area and shop will be reported after I am able to get home to connect to WiFi" so it sets off that I have opened and began the report. A lot of times, I'm so far out in rural Kentucky that there isn't even cellphone service for them to call and ask me for a phone report anyhoo.

I got one that they needed right away at noon tomorrow. I was able to do a little moving around of shops so I could do it tonight and the scheduler (female) was so happy about it. I guess they have some due tomorrow and are trying to get them done.

If they had told me that in the first place it would have been fine and I would have declined. I'm just annoyed that the info on this seems to keep changing.

She also told me I needed to do it right at noon on Saturday.
That's how it is for them, and probably many companies, when other shoppers flake. Don't get annoyed, get a bonus.
i guess I'm not doing the shop right that it takes me far more than 5 minutes to do these shops. Is this the grocery shop that you have to engage with associates within 3 departments, document the number of associates in each department and if they engaged with you, buy x amt of items and document your check out experience. Heck, I can't even get in and thru the checkout in 5 minutes!
Please give me guidance as to how this can be done in 5 minutes. I'd have more shops than I could handle to do and my frig would be filled and bank account have funds in...
I don't think that if you are trying to do a good shop that you can do it in 5 minutes. I would never set that goal, if you know the store it cuts down on the time but you still have to ask the questions and do the walk arounds. You are probably doing fine.

I'm sure IreneLA was not talking about a grocery shop but the other one that has pepperoni

The one they always beg me to do only has two of the departments so that cuts down on time but it's usually around 15 minutes in store for me. I do do one grocery store for them that would be 5 minutes if the checkout wasn't always so long. They only have one of the departments and you can pretty much see the entire store from the entrance so the walk through is sometimes 30 seconds when no associates are on the floor (which is the norm).

I have not performed this shop in a location that could be done in five minutes. You mentioned the duration of the checkout process. I will mention that sometimes we have to wait in line for an associate who is assisting other customers. Occasionally, we pass through a veritable obstacle course of peeps and carts on our way to an associate who might engage with us, if only we can get there before they move on to another task.

I only did 5 audits for The Source last year, mainly because my asking prices are high and they are only occasionally accepted. My main gripe is that they will let a potential audit sit and sit until the last minute and keep me hanging on whether I'll get it or not, and then when they finally do award it, I have to get it done right away. It is not always at a convenient time. I have had some of the schedulers wait until the end of the business day to assign it so I can wait until the next morning to make my initial call.
