Airport shops for Coyle

Hey guys!
I have a question. Does someone deal with airoport shops for Coyle? I am interested how you feel about it and what time you invest in reporting.

Fee is too low for an airport shop. I quit doing them.
I actually also notice that fee goes down and too many hours reporting. I am wandering if they consider it as shops for food.
The first shop I did for Coyle was an airport shop. I agree that the fee was low. Report took me over an hour, but like I said, it was my first shop for them lol
I have not done an airport shop for Coyle, but I have done their restaurant shops. When I fly and I know I’ll have a long layover, I look for shops in the airports I’ll be in. Especially restaurant shops. I’m going to spend money on food at the airport anyway, so anything close to full reimbursement is great. Plus, I like having something to do while I’m waiting for my connecting flight. I can have the report finished using my tablet before my flight leaves. Since I’m kind of stuck in the airport, the time it might take for a restaurant shop report doesn’t seem so onerous.
Both SCM and Troy are correct.

If you are in the business of doing airport shops for profit, they are amongst the most heinous, and often for the worst quality of food (compared to other shops they offer). That said, if you have a long flight ahead of you, have a delayed flight, or a long layover, why not do something productive and have a decent meal before or during your flight? You are going to be trapped in a flying cylinder for a few hours with terrible internet service (if any) so being concerned about an hour or two of that time unless you really need to catch up on movies is senseless.

Some of the good points:
-They do have some of the better restaurants in the airport.
-The counter service shops are actually pretty easy (for Coyle).
-While you cannot auto-assign, If you have a relationship with the scheduler, you can perform an open shop and send an email with confidence that you will probably have the shop assigned to you by the time you land.

In a perfect world, I would take the (non Coyle) burger shop that pays amazingly and has a simple report every time I flew out of LAX, but they have rotations and I have to battle with SCM for that assignment, so the Coyle shops work for me when I am flying. I would never go to the airport just for a shop, however.

We are also talking about a MSC that put shoppers in airports and pays for their flights more than most other companies, so they get a lot of credit with me if they are actually putting me in that airport and paying for my flight.

My main peeve is when I agree to a dining assignment in advance of the flight, then show up at the airport and find out I've been upgraded. I'm eating a vegan club sandwich while everyone else in first class is getting steak, and then I have to write a report about it ;^/

P.S. Not really Coyle related (it actually happened on the burger shop), but I found out that you can't take the food to-go and eat it in the airline lounge while working on the report. I tried to bring the burger in and they told me that outside food is forbidden. I even tried to bride the attendant with fries. No go...
Thank you guys for answering!
Whole last year I did airoport shops for Coyle. I actually love Coyle a lot. Some small markets, coffe shops, fast food and full service restaurants combined in one package for multiple visits. I actually was fine to do 5-10 shops each my visit, but then I had horrible time writing reports. This year I also take airoport package and be honest I do like going in airoport, but I was wondering maybe I wrote too detailed reports and they actually took a lot of time.
If you're just doing it for the food, CSE and Shared Insight have FAR easier reports. Also, check Ann Michaels and BARE for other terminal shops while you're there.

I did not get the burger shop, although I was at LAX flying. I also did not get the coffee shop, and some idiot dropped it or messed it up. There it sits. Last one. I'm not flying right now, unless something great comes up.
@iShop123 - Thank you for the mention!
