Private Eyes Online contact went MIA after promising bonus

Does anyone have a contact info for Private Eyes Online? I did a shop in November '17 and their scheduler Carrie promised $100 for travel/bonus. She has not been communicating since late December. This has never happened before since Freeman went down and left me without pay for few shops. Shop was for Merc and they are very well still in business and communicating. What do I do? It is $100!! I would have not done the shop without the bonus...

Yes. They also say that they haven’t communicated with them since December. Merc says they will double check that Private Eyes Online got paid. Either way, it is completely bizzare that this scheduler stopped answering my emails. I saw her post here on the forum. I tried looking for the post but it appears to be deleted. I wonder if there is a way to find the post. I will have to contact Private Eyes Online directly through their website but this is not looking good to me. The email is admin@privateeyesonline.net so if “Admin” is behaving like this...image what else may be in store...

Well, this is what happened: after about 35 emails exchanged between me and the scheduler (last ten emails were from me asking about the payment and scheduler not responding), I receive an email from the scheduler but from different account, different email, scheduling for different company, and not only one company but I received emails from her trying to schedule shops for two different companies. So I emailed back and asked her for my payment!! For the shop that I completed in November! So she appologizes and said that she doesn’t work for Private Eyes Online any longer and has not been able to check those emails. She tells me to give her until middle of the month!! and she will pay me then. So OK, middle of the month comes....no payment....and then I get another email from her, from original, Private Eyes Online account!? Where she said that she doesn’t work anymore, nor checks emails. She was trying to schedule shops. So I answer to her Private Eyes Online email and ask for the payment!?!!? For the 50th time in last five months!!! So today, I finally receive a payment! I assume she figured that I get shop offers from numerous companies and, if she keeps being a scheduler, she will not be able to get rid of me.
What a desaster! I have been doing this for about 15 years now. I hardly cancel or flake, turn my reports in on time, etc. so this kind of behavior is out of my scope of comprehension. Simply unprofessional. It’s ridiculous...And yes, I will update Merc on the situation so they are aware.
I just got a second email from "Carrie Coyle" from Private Eyes Online regarding an online food ordering shop.Unfortunately, it was in a foreign language utilizing characters that could not be translated. The PEO website looks legit, but of course, I check everything here first.

So is this a company I should pursue a relationship with?

Yes, it seems that Carrie schedules for few companies. I have done another shop for her, for different company, not PEO, and I should receive a payment any day now. I hope! Email in language/alphabet other than English is very strange. This experience with Carrie Coyle was unnecessary and terrible but I would say that PEO is legit. They are scheduling company. I don’t have much experience with them othen than this horror one
Someone told me that this Carrie person is the same one that ripped off alot of shoppers and went to prison. It happened a while back and before my time but I have been scared of working for her. I guess she owned A Cut Above scheduling before. Anyone know more about this?
No joke addict!! So I did some research and found this post from 2008. What do you make of this?!

Recently Cari Zittel created an alias, Shawna Coyle, to obtain scheduling and editing work in our industry. Cari, who was and still is on active probation in the state of WI when this happened, is no longer allowed to be in the MS industry or on the Internet per her new probation guidelines. This was told to me directly from her probation officer. Her case is also a matter of public record in the state of WI:

Should Cari have any kind of Internet contact with anyone reading this, you should save the email and contact her probation officer.

Talking tough is easy when it's other people's evil and you're judging what they do and don't believe.
I have seen three names listed in this thread: Shawna Coyle, Cari Zittel, and Carrie Coyle. How can anyone be certain that all three are the same person? I do recognize that all three names have had some sort of unpleasant issues associated with them, but can't be positive that they are indeed all the same person. Good to know that I should be wary and careful, though. Thank you for the warnings.
So yeah....it’s something that is in piblic records, in State of Wisconsin. The person used about 10 different alias names. Cari is her name, Coyle is her bf’s last name...I just checked the phone number of this/my scheduler and by chance it happened to be WI number. After reading and researching more, I feel that I need to check my credit...plus, I am waiting for another payment for another shop..I hope not to need to start a new thread.....feeling disgusted right now
A little more research shows that Cari Zittel and Carrie Coyle, as well as Shawna Coyle, do appear to be the same person. The quote posted above about Cari's arrest and probation status is from Volition in January 2008.

Also from Volition, 1/11/2008 is a post from Doug Rector, Owner of NWLCP:

"Everything posted by Laurie and Laura are true. I actually hired Cari (aka Shawna) to schedule 10 shops to see how she did. When I was contacted by anther company regarding Shawna Coyle I did some research and verified she was actually Cari Zittel. Since I am a licensed private investigator I was able to do some backgrounds on "Shawna". Everything in her correspondance to me was a lie and she denied being "Cari" until the very end where I provided her with the information I was able to verify. I have been in contact with the police department in the city in which she lives and as of 2 weeks ago they were going to investigate her using an alias AND that she was at least in violation of her parole for credit card theft. Her boyfriend, Shawn COYLE, was in public office in the city in which they live but is no longer. It is NWLPC policy, before hiring a scheduler, to now require a photo ID along with an already required confidentially agreement and a background check."

Update: Cari Zittel/Shawna Coyle/Cari Coyle discharged from probation on 6-26-10, so it appears she is no longer restricted from working in the MS industry.
At least we figured it out. MsAddict kind of started it lol I would have never guessed. Now I have to wait for $150 reimbursement for another shop that I did for another company.
Sadly, only some forum members will read this post and most shoppers are not even forum members. I believe that anyone can do stupid things at times and everyone deserves the second chance but this was not cool...

Private Eyes is sketchy in my eyes, especially after that Freeman Group debacle. Not surprised they hired a scheduler with a shady background.
Hello all. I see that there is a very negative thread about me and full of untrue information. I am here to clear some things up. First and foremost, my name is Carrie Coyle and has been for over 10 years. It is absolutely true that I have had my fair share of unfortunate incidents within this industry, but absolutely not for the reasons that are being stated on this forum.

Before I get into my situation, I want to make it clear that the companies I am scheduling for are 100% legit. While it has been a difficult process to get things to where they are at right now with Red Quanta, they are diligently working on making the process easier for the shoppers. They are based out of India and this is their first project in the US. With that being said, they have been working very hard at making the site more US friendly. Shopper payments for anything that was completed between 4 to 6 weeks ago will be made this weekend. This is normal payment turnaround time within this industry.

As far as my background... what has been said about me "screwing over shoppers" and using aliases is NOT true. I have never been in a position of having to pay shoppers. That has always been up to the MSP that we scheduled for. I was not even with Private Eyes during the time of the Freeman Group incident. And I know that the owner of Private Eyes did everything that she possibly could to get shoppers paid. We rely on you shoppers and when you are not paid, it hurts us too. We will always go to bat for the shoppers, but shopper payments are out of our control.

My legal situation had absolutely nothing to do with the Mystery Shopping industry. I had a very unfortunate experience of having to deal with a family member that was a drug addict. He put myself and other family members through a world of turmoil, hurt and legal issues. Credit cards were taken out in my name (as well as family members of my husband at the time), payday loans were taken out, checkbooks stolen and bad checks written across the state. Dealing wit this and the legal repercussions went on from 2005 to 2015 (2 years AFTER he passed away). My poor parents are STILL dealing with legal repercussions! In 2013, my brother succumbed to addiction and lost his life. What he did to my family, to me, to many others was horrible, painful and life altering, but losing him was even worse. I hope than none of you have to experience what we all did. It is even more painful when people who have no idea the details of the situation(s) take it upon themselves to alter the story into something not even close to what has really happened. During the time that this happened, I was married to my first husband, which means at that time, my last name was different. My last name is different now, because I am remarried.

I have worked very hard to restore my name and can provide anyone who is interested in having it, personal and character references. I am also in the process of working with a group of attorneys to restore my background. As you all know, legal fees are crazy and I have had my fair share of them. I currently have 3 jobs to help pay the legal fees. But I do not care how much it takes to make this awful situation, a better one. Especially for my parents, who not only have to deal with this legal stuff, but also the loss of their son. I cannot even begin to imagine the pain that they feel on a daily basis.

I assure you that the companies I work for are aware of this situation. I have proven myself as an excellent scheduler and work very hard at what I do. I appreciate you all looking out for one another. That is was I find so admirable about this industry. But I am not the bad guy. Black and white is not always that. Everyone has a story. Whether you believe what I am saying or not, everyone deserves to be heard. I would appreciate you reaching out to me directly with anything regarding my situation. This is an incredibly sad and unfortunate part of my life, and to see it posted on a public forum so full of inaccurate information is beyond painful.

The ONLY people that were affected by any of this was my family. No shopper or MSP was affected in any way, shape or form.

We all have troubles, it is life and this is not the place for it. It is ridiculous what you did to me personally. I stared the post because I was looking for help from shoppers after not being able to reach you and not getting paid. It took a lot of my energy and time from my small child. A lot of time! A lot of energy! You were unprofessional and you lied to me. You don’t even appologize but rather talk about yourself. You ignored about ten of my emails. I finally heard from you after receiving your emails from different accounts, not one, but two. You told me that you do not work for PEO any longer and that you did not receive my emails. And then I accidentally receive an email from you from PEO account! This was just the other day!
Most of shoppers do work for sorry $10. They, we, do it because some of us have to. Shoppers do have their life story too. And you are here to tell the story... do honest work. Period. This it is insulting...it is so insulting....
She is a scheduler and not responsible for your payments. Why aren't you ripping the MSP?

March 5, 2018 (from Carrie to me after I received an email from her but from different account, not PEO; and after she has not responded to ten or more to my emails)

"I am so sorry. I am not working for Private Eyes any longer, so I do not have access to the emails."



March 20, 2018 (15 days after Carrie informed me that she does not work for PEO and does not access to PPEO emails. This is my response to Carrie after receiving email, indeed, from PEO account!!)

I have been trying to contact you. I keep getting emails from you soliciting shops but you owe me $100 for the shop that I completed for you. It was (shop name) through Private Eyes Online. It seems that you still work for them. When I will receive my bonus of $100?
You told me to contact you mid-month and I did . Please pay me promised fee. I have a small child and $100 is a lot of money for us. I feel like a fool for asking you something that you offered. It has been 5 months now. Pease pay me.


....ridiculous.. I just get really annoyed when someone tries to insult my intelligence...

Private Eyes is really no longer in business. However, this is the email that I use for Scheduling, so I continue to use it. I paid for it, I am going to keep using it. I never lied to you about your bonus payment. You received it, correct? I apologize that it took longer than expected, but I was told by this particular MSP that travel bonuses were allowable to offer. I then found out that the scheduler from that company that told me that this was ok to do was incorrect. That $100.00 travel bonus that I paid to you came out of MY pocket. And in order for me to pay you that bonus out of my pocket, I had to be paid. Again, I apologize that it took so long for you to receive, but you did indeed receive it. I chose to NOT say anything about the misleading information that I was given by this MSP and take care of it myself. But now you are calling me a liar, when in fact, you received your bonus.

I will NEVER screw over a shopper. EVER! You are the people that I rely on. I just wish that when going to a public forum, ALL of the facts are mentioned.

I am glad that you have been paid and we can now move on from this.

Carrie - I don't know you and have never had shops scheduled by you. Nor have I even signed up with any of the MSC's mentioned above, save one: NWLPC. I have met Doug Rector and can vouch that he is a licensed PI and know him to be honest and hard-working.

Are you contradicting what Doug said about your background? If so, a direct answer to that would be helpful. We all give a lot of personal information to each company for which we work, which is not a comforting thought if we are signing up for a company new to the United States and being recruited by somebody with an arrest record for credit card theft and more.

Hard work builds character and homework is good for your soul.
How can someone "no longer work for" a company then the company is out of business yet the employee is using the email because they paid for it yet somehow didn't have access to emails for a minute or two. There are obviously a few holes in the stories.
