Clearly, Carrie/Private Eyes was responsible for this bonus promised to MikiNV in November. When the bonus was not paid, she didn't respond to emails sent to her to ask about it. On March 5th, 4 months later, after MikiNV tracked Carrie down, using a different email address, to continue to ask for the promised bonus, Carrie emailed that "I am so sorry. I am not working for Private Eyes any longer, so I do not have access to the emails." Yet today, April 6th, Carrie posted here on the forum "Private Eyes is really no longer in business. However, this is the email that I use for Scheduling, so I continue to use it. I paid for it, I am going to keep using it. "

So ....... Carrie DOES have access to the Private Eyes emails when she wants to use them but not when she doesn't want to respond to a shopper?

I have a lot of respect for Doug Rector, NWLPC. Since Carrie briefly worked for him, and he did significant research into her background, I would welcome an opinion from him.
Correction wolf: I did not change my email. I recently got email from Carrie, from different company email, not PEO. Then I got another email, from yet another account. All advertising shops with these companies. I was like Hey, thats the MIA scheduler!
I responded to both emails asking for my bonus! She mentioned that she couldn’t get PEO emails that I sent to her (I quated her in my post above)
Then few days later, I get an email from her again, from PEO account, advertising shops...?!?
....but, yes, overall, you got the point

No, I said it badly. I understood you. You found her by emailing her at a different email than her Private Eyes email, after which she told you she no longer worked for Private Eyes and couldn't see those emails any more. Of course, she now has flip flopped and says she still uses the Private Eyes email...... go figure.
I find it hard to believe that company owners would lie about a scheduler but I guess I could be wrong.
This thread is very unsettling and reinforces that shoppers should besure to apply at well known MSC's. We give so much personal information to each company that it becomes a high credit risk to apply at each.

Absolutely, separate your banking that you use for mystery shopping and get yourself an ein and a post office box.
At least feel fortunate that you got paid, I also did a lot of work for her November and had never gotten paid for it. I’ve done the same email route as you but to date, nothing
Larry, you see on page 1 where Carrie left a post? If you click on her screenname, Privates Eyes Online, you can send her a private message. Not sure if she will respond, but it's worth a try. I know she will at least read it.

The MSC owe this money!

Maybe yes and maybe no. It depends. If it is money for the actual assignment, yes, the MSC owes the money. But if it is for a BONUS, like the problem MikiNV had, then CARRIE owes the money. Carrie apparently scheduled many shops in October and November for Mercantile, knowing that any bonus money she was offering was coming out of her pocket rather than Mercantile's. When she emailed MikiNV October 24, 2017 using Private Eyes Online email, she said "I just wanted to let you know that the travel bonus that I agreed to for the XXXXX shop would be coming directly from me. This is an agreement between you and me, I am paying you this bonus out of the scheduling fee that I receive for scheduling these shops."

It was clear in October when the shop was assigned that Carrie/Private Eyes was responsible for the $100 bonus and Mercantile was responsible for the regular shop payment. Mercantile made the regular shop payment but Carrie never paid the bonus money. That's why Carrie and Private Eyes is being ripped instead of Mercantile. That may very well be the case for tnlarry and there may be many shoppers who were paid by the MSC but not paid bonus money by Private Eyes.
That is not what I understood that the OP understood as the original agreement. However, this is not something that I would ever expect. If the bonus did not show up on the shop log, that I could copy and paste to my files, I would never agree to an 'outside of the contract' bonus unless it was paid upfront. This is something that we all need to be careful of. Even if Carrie had access to the shop log and the bonus showed up there, the MSC owes the money. If the shop log did not show the bonus that is another story.
Tnlarry, sorry that you haven’t gotten paid. I was paid 5 months later after contacting Carrie Coyle at Private Eyes Online email about ten times with no response, after contacting Merc, after starting the post on the forum and asking for help from shoppers, after contacting Carrie Coyle thought two other/different email accounts that she uses, after much time spent and much energy. Depending on how much money she owes you, I would evaluate if it is worth chasing it or not.

Roflwofl, you are correct. I already spelled it out to Spicy1 but you do it with more style lol

The problem is that there will always be a shopper who will believe a con artist. That I was not paid $100 for my work is not even close to what could have happened. I still feel uneasy about the whole thing. This woman is a danger to all. I hope you get paid.

Do people make side contracts with schedulers? And why?

MikiNV, has Carrie Coyle paid you the $100 or not? This thread is really unfortunate, and sad.

Carrie Coyle, are you disputing Doug Rector's PI work on your background? And why do you keep using a company's email when its already defunct? Don't you think that is highly misrepresenting yourself? I know that you are trying to build up your reputation, yet this really doesn't help much at all.

So today, I finally receive a payment! I assume she figured that I get shop offers from numerous companies and, if she keeps being a scheduler, she will not be able to get rid of me.
What a desaster! I have been doing this for about 15 years now. I hardly cancel or flake, turn my reports in on time, etc. so this kind of behavior is out of my scope of comprehension. Simply unprofessional. It’s ridiculous...And yes, I will update Merc on the situation so they are aware.

If she is trying to rebuild her reputation, she chose the wrong company. Private Eye's name is mud in most shopper's eyes.
audrialynn, quoting bgriffin, "ding, ding, we have a winner!" Exactly what I thought when I saw Private Eyes. Can Private Eyes GET any worse? Yes. Apparently, yes, it can.

And, as for Carrie responding to comments made by two MSC employees or to the research done by Doug Rector, PI, NWLPC, Carrie was very careful to avoid any direct responses. Instead, she told us a sad and emotional personal story that was irrelevant to the posts and to her felony conviction, filled with inconsistencies, which added to the inconsistencies documented in her emails back and forth with MikiNV.

I share MikiNV's concern and I agree that Carrie is a danger to everyone in the mystery shopping industry. Based on what I'm reading, even in her OWN POST, she is misrepresenting MSCs. Any MSC that contracts with her to schedule for them makes shopper personal data available to her. As an independent scheduler, there is no telling how many companies (good companies, companies many of us are ALREADY registered with, like Mercantile!) might let her schedule for them.
If people didn't make side agreements with schedulers, this wouldn't happen. Since there is no contract with the scheduler, even my attorney demand letter would not be of any help.
My major concern has nothing to do with a shopper making a side agreement with a scheduler, spicy. My problem is not limited to how difficult it was for MikiNV to get her money after Carrie scheduled shops with bonuses for Mercantile. The point is not limited to tnlarry's problems getting paid after Carrie scheduled shops for Sinclair.

My problem is that my personal data is available to this convicted felon through any company that chooses to contract with her. Since I am registered with Mercantile and Sinclair, she has access to my personal data. She either still has access or she copied the shopper contact information for their shoppers, because when she started scheduling for Red Quanta, with whom I am not registered, I am getting email solicitations from her. I was also never registered with Private Eyes, so my contact information came from one of the companies she scheduled with. She was prohibited from working in the MS industry when she was on parole, although Doug Rector's research shows she violated her parole and worked in mystery shopping with various assumed names.

Now she is off parole and no longer prohibited from working in the industry. We are seeing at least TWO MSCs that have hired her and made shopper information available to her. YES, by not making side agreements with a scheduler (Carrie), I won't have to chase payments. But there's a bigger problem here.
***Anxiously awaiting to see if I get an email from a carriecoyle@thefreemangroup.com, carriecoyle@instant-replays.net, or carriecoyle@franchisecompliance.com when scheduling shops. Heck, I might even receive a check in the amount of $2,900 to cash at Walmart from her.

I work for a main merchandising company but I have name badges from 13 different companies because every now and then one or more has work for me. So, calling out the names of the companies that she works for, or has worked for and then equating that to the Walmart check scam only means that you have too much time on your hands and that you are generous with your non-factual equations with equivalents that are just harmful for the fun of it.

Sure. I didn't get why someone would want to just toss out the Walmart check scam with this situation. The shopper is just as much to blame in this situation.
