About Face Payment

I completed a shop on February 15, 2018, but have not yet received payment. Since it has been more than 45 days, I contacted the e-mail provided in the invoice, finance@aboutfacecorp.com, but I have not received a response. I believe they are supposed to pay via Paypal. Has anyone had experience with this MSC and/or had issues receiving payment? Thanks!

Yes after it was a week late, I wrote and called every day until I got paid. I never got a response to the email or phone call, just a payment that said thanks for your patience.
Of the shops I have performed, I have always had to request payment. I have always gotten paid, but I found it awkward having to go them in the first place for it.

Same here, I always have to remind them to pay me. If I didn't like what I get for "free" with their shops, they definitely would be on the ten foot pole list.
Is anyone else chasing payment from About Face this month? (June 2018)
I just heard through the grapevine that they are running AT LEAST two weeks late.
Wondering about this, and warning other shoppers who might be considering the big-outlay shops...
I have seen an email from Heather (Director of Finance) stating the two-week delay in payment.
Some shoppers are owed BIG amounts. Caution advised.

yep, I saw the notice as well that they are behind. .
Not sure if this is a bad sign as far as company stability, or just another temporary glitch. Either way, I'm staying away for a while.
When they had all the great cosmetics shops I worked for them, then they lost them all several years ago, and I no longer liked their shops...I'm not really surprised at their falling, but wish for the best.

They have rubbish shops at measly pay and so does Consumer Confidential. At least cover the basic ordering requirements or don't have stipulated requirements.i don't need to work for bad food.
I was wondering about this. I always get nervous about late payments. Making a copy of my "approved for payment" page now, just in case. Thanks for the heads up.
I hate to say but I will, About Face used to have the best (top of the line) cosmetics shops and paid fairly.
I worked for them when starting until about 4 years ago when they lost all those jobs. These newer jobs are not my choice, and I'm not surprised to hear their in trouble. Another one bites the dust.

Dunno, their cell repair shops I got to do within 1 block of my house for 20 bucks a pop and the window assignments that took under an hour all paid more more than 20 per hour after all was said and done.

Already more than 45 days late for payment. I contacted them and was promised payment last Friday. Didn't receive. Was promised payment today. Haven't received. I actually cancelled a shop that I was to do for them over the weekend, with the justification of no payment for car wash shops. Definitely beware.
I have never had an issue getting paid from them until recently. I had to chase a payment for a shop from April 1st. I contacted the Finance Manager 10 days ago who said I would be paid by the 6th. Ha, that did not happen! Contacted her again on Monday, was given the same story. Just sent her another email....we shall see where this leads. I think I am done shopping for About Face.
Never had a problem until this pay period chased them long enough and got paid via paypal
I never had a problem either until recently. Didn't get paid yet for a shop done in the middle of May. Thanks for starting this thread. I may not have checked my Paypal account until later.

I have a list of shops that I have yet to be paid for dating all the way back to April. I plan to send them an email.
Just got an email from Dacey. She said I should be paid by the 31st??!! Definitely running waaaay behind, then. Ouch!
I got paid for 1 shop today, waiting on payment from another. I've been keeping in touch with Darcy about paying me. I've sent her all the information she needed to pay me. My shops were from 4 months ago, there's no reason for payments to be this late. Their excuse is Paypal had not processed their payment so they couldn't send us ours. You would think they should have enough money in the pot for times like this.
Its a very poor excuse. Not sure why they can't pay you until the 31st but that's steep. I was told I would get full payment but I only got 1 payment so I wonder if they fully got paid. I don't know if this is their normal business practice or if this is a sign.
I completed a car wash shop on July 15 so payment is now 2 weeks late. I emailed finance@aboutfacecorp.com as indicated on the invoice. I got a perfect score so I'm not sure what the issue is. I did an oil change shop August 18, so we'll see if that payment comes on October 2nd or if I have to hunt them down again. I love the free oil changes, but if this is their business practice, I won't work with them anymore.
I was not diligently keeping proper check of my shop payment schedules until recently. I realized that About Face is wayyy past due for a payment with a shop I completed in July. Today I emailed their finance dept email but received an automatic reply from Dacey that she was out at the moment until the 24th. The email said to email Katie if it was about evaluator pay. Therefore I emailed Katie, and am waiting to hear back now.

I've been an active mystery shopper for about 4 months now and this is the first time I've noticed late payment and needing to request my late payment. I have 5 more shops with upcoming payments. So I will be keeping track on my spreadsheet and see how the rest of this plays out.
I received a reply email from Katie from Katie.edmonson@aboutfacecorp.co. She says the late payment date has been corrected and I shall receive my payment on the 28th. I will followup when that date arrives.
I too received the automated response and emailed Katie. I got the same email back so ill be watching my paypal next friday.

I received payment today from About Face in my paypal account. I sent a thank you email to Katie soon afterwards.
I received payment for that shop (albeit 3 weeks late) and the payment that was due to me for another shop (right on time). I can't remember if it was Katie or Dacey that told me my first payment wasn't sent because it was too low (just a $5 shop fee for a car wash) so they combined the two shops (the second being a $15 oil change shop + reimbursement). I hate to think of what would have happened if I hadn't been able to do the second shop (a car was parked across my driveway and I had to fight with the parking police to have it towed).
