MF Gas Station ....

I have not done one of these in a few months but the guidelines now say "purchase $3 in gas" where it used to be "you must buy 2 gallons of gas" I am curious if this is new? I was out of the loop on the gas stations for a bit but did this just recently become the requirement?

Thanks. It was expensive and prices had been going up recently.
Those shops around here are now a shop followed by an audit for the same $$$. No thanks. I liked doing those mystery shops, esp once they'd bonused a time or three, so no way I'm going to blow my cover by doing the audit ones. I have a feeling these audit ones will end up bonusing pretty high. I still won't take one though.

I've been doing those regularly since December so I don't know why they're also announced audits now, too. Does anyone know, do they just do that every once in awhile? Will the regular mystery shops return? Tia.

For my area, most of the locations in the most recent round were still the normal mystery shops and I grabbed the 2 of them I could before they were all taken. There were several that were also announced audits, and surprisingly all but one got snapped up just as fast. That last one is still sitting on the job board, though. If it goes to Make An Offer, I'll probably try to get it for a big bonus since it's not too far out of the way for me.
At least on the audits, we do not have to take pixs of every single pump from both sides, nor the columns or the bollards unless damaged. Two pixs of the main sign and the canopy trying to show all four sides with the emblem on two of the sides on it aren't too bad. Sometimes I love the zoom feature and resize function in paint. I think the Audits come around every quarter (or maybe it is every four months instead) depending on when the stations quarters are. I turned down a couple of Samatha offers two months ago seems like I stubbed my toe.

You can gather a bundle and make an offer on these anytime. These are not only the audit followed by a mystery shop, but also are the annual ones with the further questions of operating hours, motor oil carried etc. Make a larger offer and keep a look out for the porn.
Now I see some are showing back up as mystery shops only. Good.

In my area, 8 of the 10 for June are "announced audit after" shops. They must have to do that type of shop on a certain rotation. If any of them get to Make an Offer, I might try one or two. If you can't go back for 6 months after that, though, no way I would do that kind of shop when I could grab 2 or 3 more for that location during the 6 months.

No, nobody actually.
You have 10 posts, 8 of which you ask who shops a client.
That’s an ICA violation.
Perhaps you should:
Read the section for new shoppers.
Read the ICA’s you’ve signed with the MSC’s for which you shop.
They had one in my area and it was make a offer. I made a offer and they refused it. I checked it the next day and it was gone. Guess someone took it for that offer
I am doing 18 of those this weekend for a very nice bonus. I will drive a bit but they pay 45 ea.
That is a spectacular bonus. You must live in an area they don't have enough shoppers for. In my area they never go above $10.
I took a route of 10 for $18 apiece that was a mystery shop drove too far and too long I'm just glad it wasn't an audit. That would have taken forever.
I've done my first yellow audits this month and have some scheduled in June. I can't seem to accept more. They show available, but i get "unavailable at this time" when I try to take it. Has that happened to anyone else? Im still a fairly new shopper with them.

I see the mystery shop followed by an announced audit ($15), with a $5 convenience store reimbursement. Does this mean there is not a reimbursement for a gasoline purchase? The scenario's description is pathetically inadequate! At least you are forewarned the phone company audits could take up to 2 hours.

Thanks
$4 gas reimbursement and $1 store purchase. If you've done the same station about 4 times in the past the $15 is worth it if you know it's a well taken care of station. if this is your 1st one, you'll want to get at least $75 for the fee or an extra $60 from one of MF's other assignments or you'll end up in the fetal position, banging your head on the wall for taking the assignment. Yes, I do that. I'll take the extra fee from one shop and, in my head, use it to pay for another; it all washes out in the end.
Guidelines say at least $3 of gas and a merchandise purchase, with no more than $5 reimbursement total.
Yes, however they only reimburse you up to $1.00 for the in-store purchase so you may as well take your $4.00 for gas. At least I do.
I accidentally signed up for an audit and yikes! I cancelled it. I will stick to the gas station mystery shops.

I also usually buy $4 in gas but I don’t see anything in the CPI or guidelines that say the in store purchase reimbursement is limited to $1.00. The total reimbursement is limited to $5.
You could spend $2.00 in the store and $3.00 on fuel and then check out how much they reimbursed.

The guidelines aren't clear about the amount reimbursed for the store purchase specifically. That changed fairly recently, maybe a couple of months ago. It was a reimbursement of $1 for the store purchase, specifically, prior to the price of gas hitting the roof.

I've just been doing the routed ones with bonus' so I haven't looked at the reimbursed amounts. I have some coming up so I'll just spend $3 on gas and $2 on the store purchase and see if they reimburse the $5.

I always understood it as: ($5 reimbursement)... In that, if you spent $4 in gas and $2 in the store, they would only cover $5 period. This explains the $3 in gas now and the remainder in the store would be up to $2 covered, as I understand it. smiling smiley
I always go in the store first to buy the cheapest thing possible (usually a piece of candy). I then get the rest in gas to make sure I get a full $5 reimbursement.
The guidelines say to get your gas first.

Is that new? I've always done it like that. I'll have to switch now - thanks so much for the heads up! Thankfully I've done enough of them that I know the cheapest thing at each location smiling smiley

ETA: Where does it say it in the guidelines? I'm not seeing it . . . .
