This MSC forgot to pay me

I did a shop for about face over 50 days ago. They took a bunch of my stuff away and I had to pay $146 for a company to take my stuff away and I am supposed to get reimbursed. I've been waiting for this payment because yes, it is a large amount for a shop that I put out. I sent them a message yesterday inquiring about my payment.
Opps, They forgot to pay me? They said that I will get payment by the 30th of this month.
Is this happening a lot with Mystery Shopping company? We have to contact them and remind them to pay us?

I believe their terms are 45 days from the when the shop is submitted to the client. That was probably several days after you submitted it to them. That means they're right at 45 days now. It's the 25th now. For companies that pay X amount after the shop is submitted I always give them a few days as I never know when they start the clock and those companies rarely pay on an exact schedule anyway. Honestly I feels like you kind of jumped the gun. I certainly wouldn't characterize it as having to contact them to remind them to pay you.

It happens. Years back, I had to contact Goodwin to remind them to pay me all the time. They've gotten reliable since then.

How did they "forget" to pay you? I am sure they didn't "forget" to use your report.

Sometimes you have to follow up on payments. Keep good records of your shop ID + receipts.
And when you do get paid ... make sure it's for the right amount! Had companies mail me checks for not the full amount before!

Be very careful on that one I have heard very low payment and not what you actually paid.

It was forgotten. I emailed and got an apology for the oversight. I was told payments on its way
I just had to contact about a late payment over 60 days since it was approved. 3 of my last 4 shops with them payment was late and had to email the finance department to get paid. I am concerned with aboutface and limit my shops till they prove they have corrected this late payment having to contact problem. For what it is worth here is the last response I got the other day:

"Thank you for contacting us regarding your shop payment. I do show that your payment (or payments) is past due. I have corrected this and you can expect this to be paid on or before Aug 31st. I apologize for this oversight. I have recently taken over the finance role at AboutFace and am getting things back on track. Paying our evaluators on time is my number one priority.

I appreciate your patience. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

I have also had trouble with About Face "forgetting" to pay on every shop I've done this year, until I remind them and then get the apology and prompt payment.
Is About Face the new Cirrus?

I got a very nice email from Darcy also regarding missing payments. She paid me on the dates as promised.

The scheduler for the steakhouse who sends out so many annoying emails in one day, forgot to pay me the bonus she promised. I responded to one of her emails and told her I could do the location near me for a bonus. I expected $3, she said $5. NICE! Payday came, and it's reimbursement only. She said she forgot. I can see that.

About Face has had serious payment issues this year. I am waiting on my promised "It will be there on the 31st" payment. Dacey has had a few months now as the finance administrator and so far things don't look any different, other than everyone who emails about late pay getting a nicely worded form letter.
Helpful to read this thread as I made need to email to ask why I didn't get paid for stuff hauled out early last month. There's a big charge on my VISA I'd like to erase. This will make me hesitant to take these assignments in the future.

I did get paid on the 31st but will continue to do only one shop at a time till I see things change to timely payments on time without needing to chase payment. If I get burned then it is only $35 max and its for an oil change.
