When I was a hiring manager, I admit that it took me a long time to contact applicants; my regular job kept me so busy that I had NO time to review resumes.... Not that it's right, but when you're reviewing resumes at night at home, you're not that motivated. LOL.

Try emailing them again with a polite and concise, "Hello. I recently applied for the at-home scheduling position. Could you please let me know if you have found someone else or if you are considering me for the position? Thank you for your time." Or something like that.
They have several general email addies, as I recall.

Really? What was the nature of the reply, if you don't mind sharing? It seems like due to their pizza shop and possibly some others, their schedulers have major challenges.

My concerns were the requirements to not have a full time job, yet they were not clear as to compensation. Unless they provide a "real" guaranteed base salary, "real" benefits, and a "real" commission with realistic expectations, I am not sure as to the incentive for applying.

My incentive for applying is that my car is dying, and I don't have the money to replace it. I've put 20,000 miles on it since the first of May. I'm single and live alone, so no distractions. I don't mind odd hours. If I work from home, my car will probably last me another 10 years or so, since all those miles were from mystery shopping.
The original e-mail said to send an e-mail indicating interest, and they would provide an application.
The second e-mail did not have an attachment, and basically stated that they choose their schedulers from only their very best shoppers.
I am not one of those.
Since 2012, I've only done 3 shops for them. But that was 100% of the shops they ever had available to me, LOL!!!!

Oh man that stinks! Sounds like it could have been a good fit for you! They have a lot of shops in my area and many stay on the boards and/or get bonused... I hope maybe something else comes up! I can totally understand with your car why you want to look into scheduling....
Ceasesmith, thanks for sharing. I think their schedulers have an especially tough time trying to get shoppers to take the less desirable shops in order to be assigned good ones. Maybe you could network on here to find out what other companies need schedulers.

ceasesmith, do a search on Google for "scheduler positions with mystery shopping companies" and you should see some companies that have posted advertisements for schedulers. I did a search and I see SeeLevel and Maritz advertising for a part time scheduler and an ath recruitment for a Program Scheduler. You could also contact companies that you have done the most shopper work with and see if they have scheduler jobs open. If I were running a mystery shopping company, I would want to hire schedulers who have knowledge of the industry and a proven track record of mystery shopping, so the companies you have a great track record with might snap you up fast. Good luck.
Well, I got another e-mail, about a week ago. This one had all the questions to answer re: equipment, employment history, experience with MSing, etc.
Answered all the questions and shot it right back at them.
No answer.
And received another e-mail today, just like that one, but from a different person.
So, if they are desperate for schedulers, I don't understand why I don't get a response, since I "formally" and properly applied.

In my area, their schedulers and editors seem to go through a revolving door, then exit quickly. This could be a case of be careful for what you wish for. . .

I had a great job spoof calling, went on for a month and then all of a sudden the job ended. I was so upset but the worse part was getting paid.
I keep looking for a virtual job part time, if anyone knows anything?? Actually I started handing out pamphlets for the Democratic Party and calling, because I really liked getting up in my jammies with a cup of coffee and calling for a few hours.

Could you drive for Lyft or Uber? They have options to lease or buy vehicles using part of your income from driving. You would get a job and a new vehicle.
I live in a town of 700 people. The people here call their neighbors/friends for a ride if they need one. And even if they paid, they would think twenty-five cents would be a generous tip!
But I didn't know they had a plan that would give drivers a chance to buy a car.

I drove for Uber for a month, cost me $80 a week in gas, mileage 100 daily. Paid between 200-225 and taxes are up to you. Unless you have a new car that can take that abuse it’s really not worth it. And I would drive around neighborhoods in and out of zip codes to show I was available. Also unfortunately I lived in the suburbs . I did like the jobs. Be better if I lived in a large city

Have you tried the apps such as EasyShift, Field Agent and Gigwalk? I don’t use them very often now but before I found mystery shopping I used to pretty often. Sometimes they have jobs where I already am for mystery shopping so it can work out...
I really like being a spoof shopper though the questions can be quite intense compared to the actual shop and over all pay. But I’m a beginner so I guess as I go I will get better.
Cease you might google to see if there are any state sponsored deals for cars. In my state they will give you $1,000-1500 to turn in an older car and there is another program that gives lower income people up to $6,000 towards a car that is fuel efficient. My friend took advantage and purchased a 3 year old Nissan leaf that they love for $9,000....low mileage and in great shape. So between the grant and the money for turning in her gas guzzler that car cost them $1500. It's a bit tricky to figure out how to do this deal but as a shopper I am sure you have some tricks up your sleeve.
