Resolved: JM Ridgway-Anyone else not paid?

Have done many shops for JM Ridgway in the past with no problems. Did one in August after a long absence. The shop shows received and paid on 10/3, but nothing showed up in my Paypal account. I've contacted the company twice with no response. They've been reliable in the past. I was surprised not to have heard back from them. Anyone else having issues?

If you look on their website their paypal has been locked. They do checks for now I think.
I was paid the incorrect amount (lower) for a shop I completed for them. I contacted them about the payment and they said they are having issues with paypal. I understand issues but I was not paid the agreed upon amount, so I sent additonal emails. I have not heard back, but I have never had issues with this company in the past and I hope it is just a one time thing.
Sorry to hear about your trouble with them, Roastie Toast. This is all concerning. I, too, have always enjoyed working with them in the past. BTW, was the incorrect amount paid to you via Paypal or by check? If their Paypal account was truly blocked as was indicated by an earlier poster, they wouldn't have been able to pay you via that method. I hope you get the correct amount, soon. Thanks, Sryii. if indeed their Paypal account is locked, that would solve at least part of the mystery (no pun intended).
It doesn't explain the lack of communication, though. I would expect that out of professional courtesy, if their Paypal account was blocked, they would reach out to their shoppers and let us know, rather than ignoring our emails. If we have an agreement as to how we'll be paid, I'm not sure how they can arbitrarily decide to pick another method of payment instead without our consent. Many shoppers intentionally pass up shops that pay by check because of the inconvenience. Very surprised since they've been fine for so long.
In looking at their website, I wasn't able to find any notices about the Paypal issue. If you have time, it would be great to get a link or a screenshot. Appreciate for the info!
Update: Finally heard back from them. They say they sent me and other shoppers payment via check due to their unspecified issues with Paypal which they say are now resolved.
The problem is, I have opted to be paid via Paypal and for every other shop I've done with them, that was the payment method used, by mutual agreement. Unfortunately, because of my travel schedule, I won't be able to pick up that check.
Seems odd that they 1) wouldn't have given me the option to wait for Paypal before cutting checks, 2) didn't bother to inform me that they changed the payment method and 3) ignored my emails for quite some time before responding.
Still hoping to resolve it, but just wanted to give an update, here. Not the worst issue in the world and it was not a huge amount of money, but it is an inconvenience an not at all what I would have expected from Ridgway.
Just wanted to report back that this issue was resolved. I made a request to have my payment re-issued via Paypal, since I could not pick up the checks. I was paid the full amount I was owed via Paypal. Hope things work out as well for others. Thanks for weighing in!
