Trouble with Gapbuster

This is my first time that I enter a comment. I saw that another person had trouble with Gapbuster. I can not get into the job search part of the site.
I am in Rhode Island. Hello fellow shoppers. I have been shopping for almost 3 years and love it.

It is not an intuitive website. If you can get signed in, the first time you have to go through their "Orientation" stuff if I recall correctly. Their jobs are now available through the "Job Search" in their menu bar and require a number of page turn type of selections to get there. Very cumbersome. At least it is an improvement over the former version which called the "Job Search" function "Web Select" or some such non obvious thing (made me wonder if I was getting to choose between frog style feet or duck style feet for the tissue between my toes).
I've had the same problem with them. I can only get to the jobs about 40% of the time. I don't shop for them that often, I don't like the small selection of shops they have. In my area it's the same two companies over and over again. They do pay on time and have nice schedulers.
40% is a very low percentage of the time. I usually can get there but it takes a while and a whole lot of "page turns" to get to the page turns for the state, then the city. I am using Firefox as a browser, allowing it to download and install updates as they are available. It is available as a free download and I find works well with websites of all the companies I am signed up with. It used to have problems with Second to None but that seems to have gone away.
I use Internet Explorer 7.0 and did use IE 6.0. Gapbuster's is the only site that I have a problem with and I actively shop for many. I've heard of Firefox but I'll stick with IE,
Thanks for the suggestion.
I absolutely understand. I have both on my machine and they co-habit quite nicely. When a website is flaky with one, often it will work with the other. But usually I have both open because I have several Gmail accounts and can have one open with IE while another is open with Firefox.
Nber had a problem with them. It is the same 2 companies over and over, but it's a free meal! They resolve any payment issues quickly, in my experience and if you have trouble with a job, they work with you.
The one thing I do like about them is when they bonus a shop it is usually a very good bonus. I have drive quite aways to do their shops and they always make it worth my while.
I finally signed up, because I heard they have gas shops. The only things in my area so far are their infamous UPS shops. Foo!
I just went to Gapbuster to check their board, and I can't find the login page, even with Google Advanced Search. Anyone have it bookmarked?

WebSelect is used on one of my other sites, I think Marketforce, and it took a while to figure out what it meant. I told them I prefer duck feet.
I have never had trouble getting on their site or looking for jobs? Lucky me, I guess. I use AOL not I.E., and you have to type in www.xec.gapbuster.com to get onto their site. They only have 2 companies in my area also, but they pay a fee and for the food, where alot of companies only cover the food (and sometimes not the full amount). Whenever I have had a problem with them, they are usually quick to correct it. I like this company just for the fact that if I am not getting alot of offers from other companies, I can depend on doing shops for them monthly. Hope this helps those of you who cannot get logged in!
I had trouble too signing in, finally on the home page I clicked on English as the language, and finally got to the login page. Hope this helps. They send emails to me with open shops, but a lot of times they are already assigned. They used to pay pretty well, but have since gone to a once a month after the month payscale. March shops just got paid May 20 .But I still get paid

Guys this is another one of Gapbusters employees who go on the forums and try and write good things about the company. i was told by one employee with a very heavy accent, most probably from India (do they have a call centre there?) that they had some people working on the forums to counter all negative arguments against gapbuster. if you want them to be nice to you, tell them you are active on forums and they will listen to all your demands.
I have just taken a look at LYNNE's posts and from the variety of involvement and not actively promoting Gapbuster beyond this statement, I feel confident you are wrong. Personally I am more concerned that your contributions to this forum have all been Gapbuster bashing thus far. Indeed they are an inconvenient company to try to deal with, I believe they misrepresent the value of jobs to shoppers because they combine fee and reimbursement to indicate it is your "Payment" for the job and overall their shops are low paying. But you are crediting them with more deviousness than I have seen.
I am NOT Gap employee writing here and I have never had any issues with Gap, any problems with their website, or any problems getting paid. Their staff calls me on shops (or used to when they had more here - loved those gas shops and miss them dearly...)and are very nice people. I get paid like clockwork. Now that I wrote all this i've probably jinxed it, will not be able to get on to report my next shop in early Nov. and will get the infamous deactivation letter!

I strongly suspect that MiscAdvisor is just that--"miss-advisor" and someone with an axe to grind with Gapbuster or just wanting to cause mischief. They joined the forum yesterday and within 21 minutes posted 3 "Anti-Gapbuster" posts. They have not reappeared and I almost don't expect them to.

Unlike you, Dee Shops, I do little for Gapbuster because there are better opportunities elsewhere in my shopping area, but I have not found systematic payment problems for myself or others. Similarly I spent some time researching registrations and ownership info for both Gapbuster and Shadow Shopper, which MiscAdvisor stated was owned by Gapbuster. I find nothing whatsoever that would support such a claim. And as for MiscAdvisor's claim that LYNNE is a Gapbuster plant, very few of her posts over the months she was posting even pertained to Gapbuster. My conclusion is that MiscAdvisor is the plant though I cannot ascertain from where.
This is a different LYNNE responding. I have been doing shops for them for over a year now and have never had any difficulty with them whatsoever. The pay isn't all that great, but they do offer good bonuses. I have no complaints about them in any area and it's a great site for new shoppers to start.
I have never had trouble with Gap Buster. They even call me to do jobs for them with a bonus. Have gotten paid like clockwork every month.

They did change their job search on the site and you have to pick what area in the US you want to shop and then go to the State section and click and it will pull up the states in that are with jobs.

Happy Shopping everyone...

I dislike the changes they just did in the last two months...Being only to shop by area. But, I like the MSC. Unfortunately, they only have one client in my area, with two stores. Luckily, most months I can get one or the other (there is a rotation) and my family loves the Japanese BBQ, so even though we spend over for 3, it still is a cheap family night out (approximately $10) and the report is a nothing-so easy to do-10 minutes max, which good for the $55 reimbursement and having fun with the fam while running the DVR to get everything down.

Their website is extremely odd, but I love the company - No problems with pay, assignments, pricing structure is very fair, and often I get calls for well-bonused shops. I love 'em.
I have never had a problems with GapBuster. They call me all the time and offer bonus's to do jobs. They also pay within 30 days or less direct deposit.

Can anyone who has been a regular with GapBuster tell me if they have ever seen jobs in the NYC area? Just joined a few days ago and nothing so far, very little in the Northeast.

Thanks from a newbie !
I HAVE NEVER HAD ANY TROUBLE WITH THIS COMPANY. I HAVE SHOPPED FOR THEM FOR A FEW YEARS AND THEY PAY ON TIME. NOT SURE WHAT STATES THEY HAVE SHOPS IN.

ANSWER :
Dear Shopper,

Please upload an ID on the "Shopper ID" section to get validated. To do
this, upload any ID card which has both your name and your photo in it.
This can be your IC, Driving License, Working Pass or any other sort of
ID which displays both the shopper's face and name that matches your
registration name.
