Bestmark terms and conditions

Does anyone actually sign their terms and conditions ? Why would you sign if you so easily could not get paid? Understood that if you submit a crappy report, no payment, but the clause does not specify no pay for a reason.... "Contractor acknowledges that the fees payable for any opportunities offered hereunder are payable by the client for which the services are being performed, albeit through Company, and that if the client does not pay for a project, Contractor will not be paid for such project."

The clients help make the guidelines. That is what I think of after reading this, If the shop does not follow the guidelines, you won't get paid.
To me it looks like this: Let's say Bestmark signs a contract, say, with imaginary company Widgets Inc, and through that company offers to pay mystery shoppers $10 to evaluate their products and service. However, Widgets Inc DOES NOT PAY Bestmark their agreed upon fees, for whatever reason. Therefore, Bestmark cannot pay their mystery shoppers the $10 fee, because the Client did not pay Bestmark. That's what it seems like to me.
Operative words being: "For any reason." Widgets, Inc., goes out of business ... got up on the wrong side of the bed ... etc. I don't understand why anyone would sign a contract like that.
I would not worry too much about this. If you do not get paid, don't work for them anymore. They have been around long enough that if they did not pay, they would not exist.
I had a shop rejected for a reason that was not stated anywhere in the guidelines. I asked for clarification and received none. I never had trouble with Bestmark in my previous 7 year experience with them, but recently I have had. There was also a mix-up in pay and no resolution. Unfortunately they do not have a shop log like the Sassie platform so it is more difficult to dispute. They don't deserve me!

I caught somebody changing my reports and lying to their clients, and reported it. The owner was not happy, but then, that eyes and ears thing again. Over the years I've been amazed on occasion by how out of touch some can be, and how some people actually think they can get away with this or that or the other. Personally, I doubt the owner was involved, most likely subordinates cutting corners. Be that as it may, I did, do, and allways will protect MY client's best interests. Uh, within the law, that is. If any side of the equation is engaged in something like, say, tax fraud, illegal substances, conspiracy, illegal immigration, deception with evil intent, so forth and so on...
... my private clients know better, after all, they're the ones that get to see what's happened after the dust settles on occasion. It just warms the cockles of my heart to be part of taking down some drug dealers in what looked like a C-store gas station, or eliminate sales and use tax fraud by any of a number or parties, and so forth.
