Late payment

I have performed several shops for a company that has only paid me for the very first shop I did and that was one I completed at the beginning of September. They paid me for that one at the beginning of November. Based on that, I was expecting to be paid for my end of September/October shops at the beginning of December. Nothing has come through. This company does not post its pay schedule and I have tried to email and call and get no response. I am a relatively new shopper and have not encountered this before. Any suggestions on what to do? Thanks.

The name of the company is Market Stat. Do we have any recourse as mystery shoppers when payments are late?

I no longer shop for Market Stat due to this issue-I have only gotten ONE payment from them and that one I had to chase down. The schedulers do not give you any straight answers either.

The non payer (JCA) was bought by the late payer...

Sorry to hear that, Tigger. Thanks for the info. I am losing hope of ever being paid. I wish we had some recourse.

Athens, I don't understand your response.

Many of the shops that Market Stat has were previously done by J C & Associates, which Market Stat bought out about a year ago. Payments were not forthcoming for J C & Associates either, so we cheered when Market Stat merged/bought/took them over. Soon after Market Stat acquired the company and clients, some shoppers with long standing payment issues with JCA were made whole, so it looked promising for the future. Unfortunately that promise seems to have faded away . . .

J.C&Assoc. did not have many of the jobs Market Stat now has. They lost RR long before being bought out. Market Stat has no jobs here in L.A., so, I think pehaps they were in trouble before buying out JCA. Taking over JCA's debt could have destroyed them.
