Need help with IPSOS, please!

Anybody else having problems submitting reports on the site? I'm using the "IshopforIpsos" website.

I did 7 other shops yesterday, for several different MSCs, and I didn't have one iota of difficulty in submitting the other shops.

If you're not having problems, what browser do you use? I've tried Firefox, Chrome, and Pale Moon.

When I don't use the app I use Firefox and have no problems at all. What kind of problems are you having?
The page makes my computer stop working. I get a message
"a page is slowing down your computer". But the report page is the only tab/window open, so it has to be that website.

I've never managed to successfully submit a report with an app. (Tech dinosaur here!)
I was also having trouble until I downloaded MobiAudit on my phone.

For the tech dinosaurs..on your cell phone
Go to Google Play, you might need to put in a gmail account...then search for Mobiaudit..
Click install..
Then open once its done downloading

I might have missed a few steps, but that is the gist.

Just the ease of submitting photos makes the app worthwhile. It's not difficult at all to use. Definitely worth downloading, especially if you have problems submitting on your PC. You might even like it better.
I submitted a shop tonight using Internet Explorer with no problem. Did most of the shop using Chrome on my phone, but wanted to double check the pics on a larger screen before submitting. I did not have a problem using either browser.
Thanks. I'll try IE.

As for my phone, Verizon tells me it's just too old (out of date) to use with apps.

I don't believe them. I believe it's because I'm a klutz.

@ceasesmith....I don't really know phones all that well but can you tell us what kind of phone you have? It might make sense for you to upgrade if it will make your shops a bit easier or the verizon person might be full of hot air and just be trying to sell you a phone.

If you get a phone, it doesnt have to be anything fancy. I have an LG android..have had it for 2 years..it cost around 100 dollars but it does everything a samsung or iphone does for the most part...it sounds like that might be the type of phone you might need. Of course this is just on the theory that you cant download apps on your current phone.

Do you have a smart phone, one that runs Android or iOS? If not, then Verizon is definitely correct that your phone can't run apps. If your phone is more than perhaps 5 years old (that is a guess) and is a smart phone, then the operating system may be too old to run current apps.

For a little over $100, you could buy a Samsung J7 which is a current smartphone. It will not function like a Samsung S9, but it also doesn't cost $700.

If you have what cell phone companies now call a "feature phone" (and which my son told me [when I persisted in using one beyond its time] should be called a "dumb phone" ), then you are missing out on features and missing out on mystery shops.

My phone is an iPhone, but a very very old one.

(In tech terms, it might be older than I am!)
Oh, yes. IPSOS took one shop away (the one I had tried to enter 10 times), but left the other one. The computer guy came over and "defragged" (sounds like a hand grenade to me!) (took HOURS), and I was able to submit the second report. It wouldn't go through on Firefox, but did go through on Chrome.

I don't mind them taking away the first shop -- but the 2nd one was 175 miles away, and I was sweating bullets that they would take that one away, as well! It was a route, and I would NOT enjoy driving over 350 miles for one shop! The one they took away was only 100 miles away, and I can pick up $100-$150 in shops and re-shop this one. I'm still out my purchase, but heck, that's the way the ball bounces....the cookie crumbles....whatever!
Hopefully, the computer guy set up your computer to automatically de-fragment the hard drive at least once a month. If not, tell us what operating system you have, and at least one of us will be able to tell you how to set it up.

Cease, I know this sounds simple, but have you tried shutting down your computer.....totally off, not just restarting. Then turn it back on and let it boot up. Sometimes that gets rid of open junk on the PC that we can't see. HTH a little bit!
To continue Guysmom's thought, "shutting down" means having the computer shut itself down. It does not mean turning off the power switch (I know that sometimes that is necessary, but it should not normally be done that way). I was surprised to learn how many people think that the correct way to turn off a computer (desktop or laptop) is to use he power switch.

The lovely scheduler at IPSOS rescheduled the shop for me (the one where I entered it at least 10 times, and the report went blank every time). The second shop was submitted, and I got a note from the editor nicely reminding me to get my reports in sooner, but it was accepted.

Thank you, IPSOS, for being so understanding! I truly did not want to drive over 300 miles to re-shop one orphan shop! I will happily re-shop the one that was reassigned; it's only a 200 mile round trip, and I can pick up other shops there.
