Maritz Phone/Service Shops any info?

Hi. Has anyone done any of these shops. It says you can order a service other than a phone and I'm just wondering if I need to put anything on a credit card if I don't buy a phone but do internet or TV service. I called Maritz yesterday but have not received a call back. I hate to sign up, read the guidelines and then have to cancel. I'd rather get the info first if possible. Thanks!

Absolutely. Ask to sign up for a free trial of Directv Now. No credit card, no outlay of money and it is acceptable for the shop. I did it when it was 90 and it was a very simple form and report.

Ok, Shopadam...on your word I took the shop. Thank you. Could they make the guidelines any more confusing? I'll have to read them again before I go in the store. Any tips on how not to screw up?

There are certain things in the guide that do not apply to the Directv Now Streaming App. I also called the team in charge of the shop and asked some questions. They were very helpful and the shop paid well based on time in store and doing report.

Hi again, Adam...I did the shop today. Not too bad at all. I can't find in the guidelines if it is ok to just call to cancel the service.

Is it a hassle to cancel the service after the shop?

It was not a hassle for me. I did the Satellite TV scenario. You have to pay $19.95 up front on a debit card. As long as you DO NOT let them install it, you will not incur a charge. The $19.95 wasnt even deducted from my account because I called and cancelled the next day. $145 fee is definitely worth it. Oh, be forewarned...they will run a credit check on you.

I did the phone service and had no trouble canceling. I had to wait an hour, so I did another shop in between.
