Deactivation

I made a mistake, which I owned up on, and was deactivated from a mystery shop company.

Has anyone ever had that happen where they were able to get their profile reactivated? I really liked working for this company but overbooked my time and just couldn't finish the assignment on time and didn't communicate as well as I should have. It was my first citation with this specific company.

Without naming the company, I just wondering if other shoppers have dealt with this and successfully gotten reinstated?

Highly dependent on what you did and which company.

I was deactivated by Market Force. I am banished for life. (BTW, I was told that I was either too tough or too easy and their stringent high tech security protocols did not allow them to tell me which one. Of course, they expected me to do the remaining 9 shops that I was already assigned to at the time.)

I've twice been deactivated by MarketForce. If you do not shop for the frequently enough, you get deactivated. When this happens, they will reinstate you by request, but the third deactivation is permanent.

Hard work builds character and homework is good for your soul.
If you really wanted to be reinstated, send a nice note apologizing and say it won't happen again. If they deny you, send another note in a month or two, but don't be too pesky. I was dropped for inactivity, or not updating my profile, before and was able to get back in.
I think it really depends upon why a shopper was banished. I asked nicely a year later, and they told me agai that I was either too hard or too easy compared to other shoppers. End of story. Don't contact us again.

I was de-activated by "A Closer Look" years ago and think because I didn't do jobs which were too far from me, never having anything within my (then) 30 miles.. No word, just can't get on site, and asked to be reinstated, and was told, it's forever., were quite rude about it. Guess it's fine, as I have plenty of others (with a fee) to eat at very close to home.

I was deactivated for a mistake which apparently wasn't my first.
A year later I tried unsuccessfully to reapply. After another year I was accepted.
Now they have merged with or been bought by another compaby.

I cannot imagine what they might even mean by too tough or too easy. If it is a company like MF they want objective, not subjective. You know yourself so can you guess which it is? Do you overlook incorrect performance so as not to get the person in trouble? Are you the opposite and very picky about things like one small stain at 4 PM on an otherwise nicely kept uniform. I myself do not know exactly how they would want that answered but for me if the end of the workday for a worker I cut them a little slack for things happening if they appear generally neat and clean otherwise.
I was blacklisted due to a falling out with a scheduler. He assigned the wrong shop and wrong location, then went radio silent when I called him on it. I found out when I tried to do a shop for the MSC months later.

I had to kiss his butt to get him to reinstate me. He did, and all was good.

This post has been deleted as it would be a violation of a shopper's ICA and against the Forum spirit of integrity to follow this poster's advice.

First, please remove your phone number. Not only is it a bad idea, but you have too many digits. The forum has a PM function for that kind of communication.

Second, creating such an account is a violation of your ICA and will result in both accounts being banned. Very bad idea.
Actually, I think that it may have the correct number of digits for a phone number in India (country code 91). But, that is beside the point, there is no reason for a new Forum participant to provide a WhatsApp number in India. I strongly advise caution.

Creating a second account with MF or any other company still requires your email (could be a new one) and your SSN (which will mean you are going to be detected). If you do work under the name, email, SSN of another person, you are committing fraud and violating the ICA. As you said, definitely a bad idea.

It really depend in the company and what happened. Write a letter of apology and go from there. Recently a shopper took 2 shops for me for the last day of the month. She went and did them but couldnt find the time to do the reports. They were not a new shopper and knew what was expected. They are no longer shopping for us. Companies lose clients because of unfilled shops.

I have been deactivated by 2 MSC, however emailing them usually reactivates---one shop I was looking at my phone and it got rejected (this one had like 80 questions and I didn't remember) now I know better to memorize and record the entire shop.

I shop alot for MF and pick up alot of their hard to fill shops, if they banned me their loss. I always work hard and don't bs their shops. I've had only one invalid shop and it was my fault lol I own it, I still think they used the details of the shop.
