Car issues and extensions, how do not upset the scheduler?

I have a car which has been acting up over several issues the past 8 weeks. I just got it fixed and another (equally serious) issue cropped up.

Last month (7 weeks ago) I had to get a ipsos shop extension. Tonight I had to email for the same shop/location for an extension for the same problem. I simply do not have a vehicle until tomorrow night to do the shop.

The location is not an issue, I literally live 3 miles from the place. Its just wooded and not safe to walk it.

How can I not upset this scheduler?

It is a real problem if you don't have reliably reliable transportation. Can you bike to the location? Catch a bus? Borrow a car? A scheduler will generally forgive the occasional need to reschedule because 'life happens', but unless you have done a number of shops for this scheduler already with no issues, two reschedules in a fairly short period of time may get you on her 'trouble shopper' list. If you absolutely have no way to get the job done, the best you can do is apologize and hope for the best. Hopefully this is an August shop with enough leeway to get it done without interfering with other August shops.
Is there a cab company, Uber, Lyft? A friend who will ask no questions if you tell them no lies? Yes, it takes out of your pay but in the long run, might be better than getting the shop canceled and upsetting the scheduler. I had the same issue last year, but I was lucky enough to be doing work for Strategic Reflections and they were totally understanding. They allowed me to do jobs originally due on the 7th to be completed when the car worked through the entire month. In part because I WAS RELIGIOUS in communicating with them and ALWAYS got the shops done.

I am in the middle of the country. We have no buses, lyft or uber.

I do about 6 ipsos shops a month. So I am just going to have to see and take my dues. I just said I can do it on Sat and cannot be tomorrow.

I am new to this area and know no one to take me. I am in the country where even a bike would be dangerous. The place closes at 4:30 and no one is home at that time. I am simply going to have to suck it up. I am frustrated with this situation. Its a no brainer shop which I enjoy and will have done in 20 minutes. My family has 4 vehicles down currently, and I have no way to get to the place.
I understand completely. Just stay in constant communication with your scheduler!

My alternator AND battery both needed replacing two weeks ago -- got it back, shopped one day, and took it straight back to the mechanic. He thinks now the fuel pump needs replacing, as the car is hesitating on acceleration. It was in the shop 4 of my 5 most important shopping days of the month! I, too, live in the boonies with no public transportation; and my nearest shop is 45 miles away!

Just communicate, communicate, communicate! Also, apologize, and own it.

We do 75% of our mechanics ourselves (my dad and I). But my car had a transmission slipping (ended up transmission filter), then we got it inspected and during that ended up having no breaks (50% of the parts were wrong). Got that back last week, and the power steering leaked out. Needs a new line.

The car is in front of the house, we need another O ring (dad is getting it tomorrow) and hook up the line that needed to be replaced.Bleed it and we should be good.

UPDATE: Got it for Sat.

It not going to happened again
It's the beginning of the month. I can't imagine rescheduling would be a big deal.

Car trouble is the worst - regardless of your profession. It's good that you try to work things out with your scheduler. I would also encourage you to try and take some of the less desirable shops from the same scheduler, once the transportation issue is resolved - to make nice nice.
