MaritzCX schedulers

I just got off the phone with a scheduler with MaritzCX and all I can say is WOW. She takes the cake for being the rudest and most condescending person I've encountered in a long, long time. I called in because I was unable to self-assign on their site for an assignment. She started with telling me that the reason I couldn't self assign was because I needed to do a lot of shops for them and do them well. (!!!!!!!!!) I've been shopping for a number of companies for almost four years and this is the worst shopper experience I've had in a long time. Uggghhh. This company needs to train those who talk to shoppers on tact and on how to be helpful. Uggggghhhh. I dread taking assignments from this company for that reason.

You must have gotten one of the very few. I have always spoken with nice, sweet even, schedulers.
I know nearly everyone there by name and voice and they know me just as well. I can see where one or two of them would come off as not very nice, but the OP also comes off as super entitled in this post. Why would you think that just because you tell them you've done this work for four years that they should just assume you're any good at it?

I agree with sestra and Hoju. This is very unlike Maritz. Must be more to this story.
I've only had one bad experience with a Maritz rep on the phone, and that was years ago. Otherwise, everybody there has been very nice and helpful. I appreciate that they'll actually pick up the phone and talk to shoppers!

I learn something new every day, but not everyday!
I've learned to never trust spell-check or my phone's auto-fill feature.
I think Maritz phone people are incredibly rude!

Ok I don't. They are, however, incredibly frustrating! I've probably been much ruder to them than they have been to me.

What a surprise.
Lately, I’ve spoken with maritz schedulers on a daily basis. They’ve been nothing less than charming. S/O to Bryan, Kary Ann and David. smiling smiley
Dionne is my favorite person ever.
Sue was, too, until she left. ????

No but I dated a Dionne in high school

I've been shopping with Maritz for seven years and have done hundreds of shops for them. After DSG Associates, Maritz is the company where I cringe when I see their number lighting up my phone.

Most of their schedulers are super sweet. But the supervisor of the Red, White, and Blue stations and at least one of the schedulers for the Blue stations are in my mind condescending super B's. I seriously dislike them. I have had a lot of problems with both.

I specialize in middle-of-nowhere shops so I've made a lot in bonuses with Maritz. However, with extremely rural shops that are located in intense weather areas (Death Valley for example), a lot can go wrong and usually does.

I think they dread calling me as much as I dread having them call. I hear from them when they are desperate, so I can set my rules, such as "you're going to have to wait for the report until the next day" or "there's no guarantee the station will be open or manned when I get there as they shut down randomly. You'll have to take the report with whatever I can get when I'm there because I'm not going back." They begrudgingly accept my caveats but clearly don't like them. And I don't like those particular schedulers.

Plus, I make a point of calling them out when they don't return my calls promptly, if at all. Because of the nature of the shops I do for them, if I call them, it means I REALLY need to talk to them. Their lack of communication irritates me to no end.
I've never had a bad experience with this company. It is a rare occasion that I ever speak to a live person at a MSC. I prefer email.

Can I share something with you, though? I just hate it when someone is being snippy on the phone, in person, or via email. More often than not, I will say something like, "Gee, sorry to have made you so SO angry. I was only trying to ________". Half the time the other person backs off and apologizes for being less than pleasant and the other half are probably just unhappy people.
I am generally happy with the courtesy from everyone there. The delays in call backs can be annoying when I am out in the field, but generally they are easy to work with.
I love this company and the schedulers. I have never had a bad experience with any of them.
All of the rude, grouchy ones seem to have retired. All that I've dealt with in recent years have been very friendly, especially Dione - my all-time favorite!

ICA Violation. It is against the forum policy to name both MSC and Client in the same post. It also violates the ICA signed by all mystery shoppers.

Bonnie,
Please remove the client name. It is a violation of forum rules to name the client when the MSC has been named. It is also a violation of your ICA with the MSC.

Poor customer service? Don't get mad; get video.
I too, have not been able to assign myself any shops. I get a pop message, however, the scheduler(s) I have emailed and called have all been nice and is looking into why this is happening to me. I am glad most of the comments have been positive about them.
I have spoken at one time or another with a scheduler for each of 5 areas and they have all been very nice. They call all the time for me to do some work and they are understanding and try very hard to get jobs scheduled.

I was disappointed when Sue left. She was my other favorite. Hopefully Dionne doesn't go anywhere. She's really on the ball.

I always feel bad because the one and only scheduler that I've had contact with always calls me during one of the 18 hours of the week that I can't accept phone calls due to work. She is always sweet as pie, though.
