Can a company still use your report if they refuse to pay you?

Rousseau, have you had the experience? I am really curious. I have been hearing both sides, but so far, only opinions and conjectures, except for one person. TIA

So you have watched Shawshank Redemption one too many times and found a word that (you think) cleverly allows you to insult me? Just because you don't like the way something was written does not give you license to be insulting or rude to others yourself. Calling me obtuse insinuates that you find me less than sharp-witted, and by now you should know better. And namecalling--be it calling SCM rude, or me obtuse--well I find that hypocritical, and of course it does not "add a positive contribution to the community".

Jas stop don't be obtuse. You know exactly what she wrote and how it could've been written differently.
mrf4321: I know you were addressing Rousseau, but if I may add, I am certain that I have never had this experience. I have been a shopper since 2001 and have done thousands of shops in this time. I have had a few shops rejected, just a few, and they were totally my own fault. If I didn't follow a client guideline, how in the world could the MSC use my shop? The shops I messed up were put back on the job board for other shoppers to take.
Warning: The tone of this thread is deteriorating. Should the lack of positive contribution and/or personal insults continue, posts will be removed and/or the thread will be closed.

I'm the same way and, despite my best efforts, I can remember exactly what I did wrong. Only one rejection did I disagree with. On that one, the MSC and I respectfully discussed it via email and, when neither of us were able to change our position on the matter, determined that I would not get paid nor would I return to the location to get a picture of what did not exist. However, I was not deactivated either, thank goodness. I just wish that I would not be able to see the shop reposted or that I wouldn't see the ones still listed in my history as rejected, it just adds salt to the wound (but is a good reminder to be more careful next time)...

I have had shops rejected that I am completely certain I did properly. Long time ago when I used to do McD's, they would *routinely* be rejected if the reports were overly negative. It didn't matter that they were on video and that I supplied extra information that proved the shop was valid. Likewise, I have had postal shops rejected that were negative (not from the current company) - again, I took photos, could describe the exact scenario, told the company personal information that the clerk had shared, etc. They challenged and the company rejected my properly done shop. So it does happen.

OTOH, I have been paid by Kern when I did a shop that was not quite right. The instructions were not written as well as they could have been, and they agreed with me on it. Paid, and instructions clarified for the next shopper.
