Got an e-mail from Market Force. They are offering a whole $2 more on a full audit gas station shop, but only if I accept it within 22 hours. A full audit for $10 and a $5 reimbursement. What planet are they living on? I wouldn't take it for $20.

Yep, just got the same offer for a hardware store. I'd love to do it, except it's 120 miles round trip, and even with $2, won't cover the gas there and back.

To add insult to injury, I got 3 "Sam" offers for the same town last week. I accepted all three -- and none of them were assigned to me, and all 3 are still on the job board.

Just makes absolutely no sense to me.

It still beats Alta360's $8 self-storage shops, I'm guessing.

I think $2.00 bonuses are very uninspiring most of the time, as it would not make the difference between taking or rejecting a shop. But, very, very rarely, it could be and I like that they try vs. companies that never seem to try (Trend Source seems like they never try to offer bonus emailings - I could be wrong, though).

Where are these offers coming from? A third world country?

Not true about Trendsource. They offered me two very good bonuses--one last week and one this week. I don't usually work for them, but I did two shops in less than a week. Thing is, with bonuses, or what they call PAD, they paid more than double the pay they usually offer on the one shop--they paid quadruple. They really try to law-ball people first it seems. I'll sit and wait until the end of the month. I told them last week, when they emailed me about a shop, "I'm sorry but I don't even get in my car for that ($6)."

Whatever will a shopper do with that enormous $2 windfall?

Perhaps they thought $1.00 more/bonus would sound too cheap. lol

Inner executive meeting:

Executive 1: "I've got a great idea. No one will ever take a shop that they otherwise wouldn't do for $1.00 more. I have a plan! Let's fix that! Let's offer them TWO dollars!!!"

Executive 2, 3, 4, 5...: "OHHHHHHHHH! Danggggg, That's genius!!!! Grrrrrrrreeeeeeeeat idea! That'll get 'em done!!!!! Go ahead and implement it!"

Executive 1: "I know. Kind of genius, huh?!."

I apologize! I was making a genuine attempt at a good-natured joke about JAS scolding you all the time, john, lol. But, it was probably just totally inappropriate and bad timing, given other things recently.

I'm sorry about my moronic brain at times, JAS. I actually usually hate needles like this (sort of side-swiping attacks on people) and realized this would come off that way likely after writing it. It's not an excuse for not having thought through my actions better earlier, but just wanted to say it was - believe it or not - a desire to "lighten" tensions on this forum. But, poor timing and execution on my part.

If it bothers you that much, then just go in and edit out the comments that you feel were inappropriate.

I usually prefer this method (I had thought about your method, though), b/c it gives people an opportunity to see my thoughts. The comment wasn't offensive in "that way" if you know what I mean, so I didn't delete it. I juts didn't want to JUST delete them and not say something to explain.

Now they are offering $12 for a full audit. Still wouldn't touch them.

This is for a full audit gas station shop. 32 pages of instruction and 18 pages for the report. They will now pay you $12,

I won’t touch a MF audit for under $30. I can’t imagine doing them for $8. My make an offer was recently refused on the local ones here for $30, logged in a few days later same shops, “your offer was not accepted” “but you can accept it at the now going rate of $35.”

Even the long time MF schedulers from GA have told me MF is now one “scr**d up company.

The new one that I laugh at is the family food buffet restaurant, no pay $12 reimbursement. No thanks

Some of those audits are fo $6.00 here so with the bonus you get back to what base pay is. Ah Nope not interested. You could give me 22 days to take it and still nope.
