The source job payments

Hello, I just sign up with The source agents but I don't understand how the payments work. The job posts have a range of money posted, like $6-$10 for a job and it does not specify how much is the fee and how much the reimbursement. Do they eventually end up paying the minimum?

Everything is clear, read the instructions, for the groceries, the fee is 4.00 with reimbursement being 12.00.
They pay twice a month direct deposit on the 5th and 20th.

Live consciously....
Irene - I’m still seeing many grocery stores at $5 fee plus $9 reimbursement. Not all are the 4 plus12 variety.

All on the board that I can see are $5 plus $9. I would prefer $4 + $12 since my main use for these is buying groceries.
I am almost at the point where I am going to quit working for the source. They really pissed me off yesterday. There was a mobile phone store Mystery Shop that was due at the end of October. They called me about a week before the end of the month and asked if I could do it. It's about a 60 mile drive each way. I told them that I was going to be about halfway there for a different evaluation, and I would be happy to do it for $50. But, I told them that it would have to be assigned for the next day because that's when I was going. The person said they would call me back and let me know. They called me and said that they would give me 30, and I said it just wasn't worth it. So then, they call me two days before the end of the month and say okay we will give you the 50. I told them that I would only have accepted 50 on the particular day earlier that week because I was headed in that direction. You can't try to give me that amount now. I told them that I would do it for $60 but would only be able to do it the next day, which was the end of the month. First, I have never flaked on a shop for the source. Every single shop that has been assigned has been completed on time. There have even been verifications where the client had to reschedule three times and I still put up with it and still got it done. Then, on that day, I proceeded to get a text message and multiple emails saying that I needed to get the shop done and let them know when I was going or they would assign it to a different shopper. I texted the scheduler and assured them that I was going that afternoon, and there was no need to badger me or treat me like middle school kid being told to do their homework. I explained that I had offered to do the shop for less a week prior, and it was their fault that it was the last day of the month. It was not my fault. I could have easily said no, and I was doing them a favor by driving 120 miles round trip for $60. Don't treat me like a child when I gave you the opportunity to not be in this situation. They said it was because shoppers flake all the time. I informed them that I had never flaked on a shop for them. I told him that if I received another email with a veiled threat that the shop was going to be pulled from me, I would never do a shop for them again. And lo and behold, an hour later I got another email. If they are going to treat me like all of their crappy shoppers, then maybe all they will have left is crappy shoppers because I will not put up with it.

In my area, their grocery shops are $6.25 fee and $9.00 reimbursement. So it's different, probably based on which grocery Client is being shopped.
Same here. $6.25, $9 reimbursement, and talk to everybody and his dog. I did one, a year ago, and that was it.

I hope you didn’t record the conversation with the dog unless it’s legal in your state.
I know I did one for another company and it was like that, I felt so obvious. I had to talk to almost every employee in the store. The questions for the produce employee were either how do you store an apple or what's the best way to cook a squash. I went with the second one since I thought it was the most reasonable one. He just looked at me funny and was like "what do you mean?".
In my area, the major grocery shop if $0 fee and $10.50 reimbursement. That is for the dominant grocery store chain in the area. Occasionally (rarely) they get a $5 or $8 bonus. Since I shop there anyway, I sometimes do them for no fee in order to get a discount on my groceries.

Shopping Southeast Pennsylvania, Delaware above the canal, and South Jersey since 2008
I used to do those, too, back when I worked at a place that had newspapers and I pulled all the coupons before we disposed of the leftover Sunday papers and was a crazy coupon clipper. I could get a full bag of stuff (hard to do at that place for under $30) and make that reimbursement go pretty far. Now I don't have the patience for that stuff anymore. I wish we had more grocery shops around here.

Yes! I coupon on my grocery shops. As you said, it makes the reimbursement go farther smiling smiley

Happily shopping the Pacific Northwest. Shopping since 2013 smiling smiley
I am really miffed at The Source. Several times I have requested a job at a certain office supply store and hear nothing for days. Then I get an email telling me I got the job IF I am the first one to accept it. It makes me feel like I am in a feeding frenzy for a cheap $8.25 job. To Source/Trendsource/ MSI (whatever you call yourself this week): just assign a job to a specific shopper like every other MS company out there and STOP making me and other shoppers feel so degraded.

My TS grocery shops are $6.25 with a $9 reimburse...you have to buy at least three items. All depends on where you live and the client that you are shopping for

Seems like TS waits until the last day to assign you the job, after you're already planned your route. Most times I have to tell them you're too late. I applied for that job a week ago and you did nothing.
In my area, all grocery shops are self assign with the Source. The medical shops .... that's different. You apply and then wait.
Hey, you called me it isn't my fault that you could not find someone to do the work. For me to do the job I base last minute request on $0.50 a mile round trip. From Tulsa OK to Ft Smith AR it will be minimum and of $120.and that is if I'm in a good mode. It has to cover my drive time and the tolls and the mileage. They called me to go to Witcha KS I said for $300.00 they declined it. Oh and no grocery store here. The only national chain we have is the Whole Paycheck store, Aldi's and Wallys World.
