HS Brands Sunglasses Shop

I applied for a sunglasses shop and was assigned to it. I was willing to wait to be paid by HS Brands. I read the instructions and found the 4 brands that I am required to shop online At least two of them have the sunglasses that cost well over $150 per pair. I have to order a pair from each company, and then return 3 of them for credit. I do not decide which to return, but which ones get returned has not been disclosed to me yet. The fee is $55 and the reimbursement is $65. I sent a note to the scheduler indicating that I wear prescription glasses (which cost even more) and that I had planned to buy non-prescription sunglasses for my significant other.

Has anyone else been assigned to this shop? Has anyone actually completed one? Thoughts? There are many photos, and many forms to be filled out and many interactions and screenshots with each of the 4 companies.

There was a thread started about it recently. I think the title of it was something like buy 4 return 3 glasses. I dont want to link it because the client was mentioned or strongly hinted at so i dont want to cause a potential ica violation. As i recall there were mixed feelings about it because the glasses were so high priced. The reimbursement wouldnt cover the cost of the glasses. Personally, for me, i could find a cheaper pair (i wear prescription also) elsewhere and what i would pay out of pocket would be less than what i would pay ( including reimbursement) on this shop. YMMV.

You're required to purchase prescription sunglasses.

Sounds like a PITA, but for whatever reason, people scooped these shops up.

People did not realize that they would be out of pocket that much money before they took the shops.

I saw it and let everyone else grab them up. I've never paid that kind of money for sunglasses.. not going to start.

Myst4au, I think you are supposed to get prescription sunglasses. I'd cancel if I were you.

I canceled. I have an unusual prescription, and the cost is high even with VSP (which can't be used here). Plus there was no way of knowing in advance which pair you would get to keep. Thank you to everyone for responding.
