DSG Associates

Wondering if anyone else here has done projects with DSG associates? I have done two projects with them, one of the projects was with a major donut chain, and the other project was with a small locally owned Mexican restaurant. Both cases I was paid (but it took a while to get paid). They only seem to pay by check as they don't seem to have PayPal or direct deposit setup. They admit that they have their call center set up in the Philippines and their phone skills are weak. They must be new to the industry because their online reporting form is poorly developed and they actually changed the report on both jobs that I did after the fact. I doubt that I will do any more projects with them, just wondering if anybody else here has actually dealt with them? Many thanks!

DSG has been around for at least 15 years if not longer. Always been paid. I had to ask them to quit calling me though. I demand much more than they pay. Their jobs are not worth my time.
I did some pricing audits for them. They paid $10 each, but I insisted on $25 (30-45 minute audits). They couldn't find anyone else to do them for $10 so they paid me what I asked for. They quit doing those audits, though, so I haven't done anything for them since.
I don't mind their shops, but OMG they harass you!!!

They had been calling and calling, probably 10 times in three days, asking if I could take a restaurant shop. I never took the call because I was driving. Finally, they called when I happened to be in Death Valley all by myself. I took the call as it seemed safe to do so while I was driving.

I agreed to the shop and then he said he needed to go over the new requirements with me. He repeated the sane requirements three times, kinda like an old person telling the same story over and over. About that time I started going through a mountainous area and the call dropped. God was looking out for me because I was at my wit's end listening to him read the same thing over and over.

When I got to civilization, I checked and the shop had not been assigned to me so I self assigned. By this time he had called five more times.

That was Friday. Today is Sunday. They have called 14 more times. I'm not answering until the shop is done and entered.

Why do I do this to myself. Well, I was going to that restaurant that day for breakfast anyway. Between fees ($8) and reimbursement ($15), I will eventually get a check for $23. You know, it's not worth it.
Learn some Tagalog. It worked for me. It shuts them up. They only ever call me once if I am assigned a job.
I completed six shops for DSG from 2008 to 2010, all at an airport car rental desk. At that time they were not using foreigners; I know because all reports were dictated over the phone. I was paid $30 each as agreed.
I received a check today for a shop completed at the very end of December.

Oh the memories! I was also dictating that car rental shop over the phone.
