If I were going to do a ton of these I might actually do the webinar. However, I am not. The guidelines are exactly like they have always been and many of us have done hundreds of them. We are not the issue. The MSC or the app or both are the issue.
Like you I have used the Presto app many times and found it fast and easy. So whatever the problem is I hope they get it straightened out. I like these shops and would probably do a bunch of them next round.
There are too many people doing shops they aren't getting paid for for me to attempt them even if I felt good.

I feel like they should fix their issues with the app, the test and the photos. Why should we take more (unpaid) time out of our day?
(I am currently not well enough to do these I am just being difficult.) tongue sticking out smiley

No idea why everyone who was complaining about the issues hasn’t piped up and said they’d be attending???

Ok. There’s a whole thread about people that drove to the location and spent 45 minutes doing a shop and then didn’t get paid. So there’s time wasted there with no pay. If they wanna do a few hundred jobs, I suppose they should waste another half an hour, for free, so that they learn how they can get these jobs done or so they can tell the programmers what it is that they need fixed.

If I was going to do a ton of these, which I am not, I would be on that call/webinar.

How much do you get paid for reading guidelines or trying to find jobs or applying for jobs?

I have used Presto InstaShopper for projects, and I want to say I have over 400 jobs completed through the app just on two or three projects? I’d have to check. If I ever have a problem with the app when I’m in the field, I just switch over to the mobile version on my phone. I usually pre-assigned my locations from the desktop at home before hitting the road.

(Please excuse the crappy grammar and punctuation; I’m voice dictating on my phone.)
Im wondering if anyone who is having problems with these attended the first webinar?
I did one and it was rejected. Not sure why. Not worth fighting it. I would not do these shops if so many are getting rejected. Not worth the pay.
Does anyone know where the Location/SVB number can be found for these shops? I had the one shop I have done for this program put on hold, in part, because I had not put that number on the Leave Behind document. I can not locate it anywhere.
OhGuy, the best I could figure out is the SVB is some proprietary client number that we don't have.
Hopefully they work the kinks out. I just did 9 in the city, and I have 9 more on my list. If they'd let me hold more than 10 I'd just make an overnight of it.

The SVB is the Site ID # and is found after the transaction information on the gas receipt. Sometimes, it is also found on the store purchase receipt at the top under the site name and address.
Before the shops were done on the app, the SVB number used to be found on the report page, maybe the second page or bottom of first page somewhere..can't remember. I would fill it in before doing the shop and only print the first page. Can't speak to now with the app since I haven't done any. I have also found it on the receipt and I would compare it to make sure I was at the right place.

That is certainly a good question to ask at the webinar.

This is what I took away from the webinar. If I am mistaken, PLEASE, someone correct me:

1. The quiz has been changed and is now easier to pass.
2. Ipsos loves Presto because it saves them time, money and work hours so the current project is staying right there regardless of how much time, money and work hours it costs the shoppers.

Regarding Presto (which was difficult to understand because the rep’s line was choppy and unclear):

3. Presto has been worked on so it “Shouldn’t be that bad anymore.”
4. Keyboard popup “Shouldn’t happen” and reps does not know why it does that.
5. Don’t use the jump function because then the survey gets confused between parents, children and grandparents (My thought: What?? Whatever, then take that function away if the system can’t handle it).
6. Be glad you’re not in Ireland where there is very little reception and the survey is 500 questions long.
7. Clear the cache.
8. If you cannot check in drive away as far as you can until you can check in then drive back to the site.
9. Check in at home before leaving the house.
10. Onsite, put your phone on airplane mode to fill out the survey then upload everything when you get to a better area and wait 15 minutes (more or less, rep doesn’t know) for each report while app works and submits.
11. And the ever-popular uninstall then reinstall the app.

I am so depressed
I'm foreseeing other gas brands getting plopped onto that dog of an app. That's what depresses me. It is speculation but they were clear about how much they love it so...
I meant my first reply but was thinking about some of these silly instructions. I am specifically thinking about lone rural locations and there are a LOT of them within 100 miles of me. Most of them don't have wifi. Most of them have no signal because they are in the mountains. Many of the people who live there only have dial up internet, if they have any internet. While I like the Presto app for quick simple shops, for the most part gas stations aren't that simple although they can be quick for an experienced auditor.
Number 8. I'd be 25 miles away from some locations before I could check in.
Number 9. And then what? Would it still be valid by the time I got an hour away? Could I print out the form and use it and then fill it out at home on my pc?
Number 10. Is this because the app won't upload photos and let you fill out the form at the same time? If so, why not?

Probably so since they will be taking over all of the Maritz stations. My guess is they better be ready to up the fees.

8, 9 and 10. Still unclear. They Don't want it done on paper and submitted later at home. They want immediate submission even where there is no reception. These are possible "Workarounds" to get submitted as close to immediately as possible. The client wants this so they can take immediate action on infractions. They just do not seem to understand rural connectivity issues out here in the real world. And Presto needs full bars of reception to even try to function so that doubles the fun.
She actually chuckled when talking about the Maritz buy out that because more Shoppers will be doing and competing for the jobs. Not so good for us.

K. I am in the rural world and I am voting for 'wait and see' what happens over time. Just now, I may or may not ask for any bonused EOM shops because the roads may or may not be open between here and there. This is my chosen world, and I understand that not doing assignments that are inaccessible is not the same thing as being lazy or slothful. It is practical for me because I always have to be prepared to start work between 1-2 AM even if the work starts late (which I never know about in advance). Imagine the trauma for the gas station shoppers who are diligent and... stranded, constantly losing reports, tired, hungry, cold, and/or not near any place that has comforts let alone money-paying shops. Do you know why Jim Croce crooned, 'don't pee in the wind'????? That is all.

When people get used to preferential treatment, equal treatment seems like discrimination. - Thomas Sowell
It was "Spit into the wind." Really, it's on the album! Want me to play it for you? I still have my original vinyl! Loved that dude's songs! RIP, JC.
Not sure how you get immediate submission to clients, when the completed shops spend 5 days in editing. My first shop on this project was submitted on 2/18 and was finally approved on 2/23.
Yep and I’ve already @#$%& to presto
So I’m banking on my money 7 days from submission, or I will @#$%&.
The scheduler for Georgia said we can input at home but we still have to submit within 12/24 hours *whatever it is.
