IPSOS (Martiz) Offering Home Store Shops in So. Cal.

I had 2 Home store shops scheduled for last week here in So Cal. I called and left messages to reschedule since the project goes into May. When I received an email reminding me the jobs were past due I responded requesting a delay reminding them of the Shelter in Place order in the state and county (yes we have police pulling cars over asking about destinations and purpose of travel). They wrote back informing me they had removed they shops and I could reapply for them. The real kicker is that the furthest out date is April 10th!

1,0000 people dying in one day and the MSC is encouraging an IC to linger in the store then purchase /return a cartful of items. Putting the IC and other shoppers at risk. They are on the board so have at it. I won't risk myself or my community hoping I'm not an asymptomatic carrier or in the first few days of being sick and not yet showing symptoms.

They are here on LI also, but with an out date of 5/3. I wouldn't touch these under normal circumstances as I dislike purchase and return shops, let alone one that requires 5 items for $330 with and immediate return.
Ours has an out date of 5/3 listed also but only scheduling options offered are now through 4/10.

It is probably the same here as Ipsos likes to work with short selection dates, which makes it difficult to plan ahead with this MSC.
This is likely a function of the design of their website. You may or may not have noticed, but when their quarterly gas station shops are released, the due date range is listed through the end of that quarter, but the range of dates from which to select is more limited. I highly doubt that they expect sooner dates to be selected (in many cases, in the past I have noticed that earlier dates can't be accepted anyway), it's just that they are unable to post later date ranges as of yet. I don't know about you, but tasking an IT person to edit this part of the website doesn't seem like an essential task right now.
I had 3 Home store shops scheduled for the week beginning March 23. I called a couple of weeks ago and they extended it through April 19. I am going to call again, I mean email them, and see if I can get it pushed back through sometime in May.

@wwin.... did you cancel those shops? I noticed some Home store shops available now, but they are due no later than 4-16-20.

Edited the name of the store

I tried to reschedule but they didn't answer their phones, call me back or answer my emails. When a scheduler did finally respond to my request to move the date back he said he had removed the shops instead. 1forum1, those sound like my old shops. KarenMSW, The programmers /IT people in my households are working remotely but maybe their systems aren't set up for that.
Maybe.... I checked a couple of zip codes and I see there are about 6 available now, but I'm not even sure I'm gonna do the 3 I already have scheduled. I have about two weeks to decide. Hopefully, they will extend the due date to at least May 5.
Not to mention if "Big Box Hardware Store" is even accepting returns. Many places are not including Target.

Edited as client was accidently listed.

Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.

You need to do more than one, otherwise they do not worth it. The first one took forever because there were multiple items that look exactly the same, in price and appearance, both among the drills, as well as the tiles. Afterwards, finding the items was a breeze. The most time wasting is to enter the store twice. There are all these lines to get in. I waited 20 minutes in one, in the middle of the day just to enter. Then lines to pay, lines at the return desk. I was with mask, hat, gloves! More than 10 days ago, so no virus!

Well...how do you know until the antibody tests become available?

You could have picked up the virus on the the assignment, been asymptomatic and then have been spreading it everyone you've come in contact with since then. Around 20% of people in countries that have widespread testing show no symptoms...

I am eternally optimistic. Knock on wood, things are fine for now. But I have only done app shops since then.
You should remove the name of the client.

I'm sure you are fine...but was just pointing out that you never really know until the antibody tests becomes available. Last I heard, it would just a be a few weeks.
Chester County, PA is about to begin antibody testing: [www.nbcphiladelphia.com] Note that testing for antiboides is not the same as testing for antigens.

Well, since as of this coming weekend several (that I know of) counties in Michigan will begin handing out hefty tickets and several municipalities in Metro Detroit (I was told by someone who witnessed it happen) for picking up items at the big box hardware stores that weren't essential i.e. mulch, there is no way that I would take one of these. Plus, since my gas stations have gone away and I am too spoiled by them to begin paying for my own gas again, I won't go out to drive any more than I absolutely have to. I have also heard that contractors, unless they are picking up supplies for a very narrowly allowed type of job (to protect their investment, such as putting up a roof so the interior isn't ruined), they run the risk of losing their license for violating the stay at home order.
I wish California would have stricter rules. We have orders where I live but they are barely enforced. They have been cracking down on "non essential businesses" that have stayed open but so far in Los Angeles that is the only thing they are cracking down on. They are not stopping anyone to ask where they are going. Construction of all sorts is still allowed. I would be able to go out and stay out all day long as long as I was not at the beach or at a few hiking trails, visiting as many stores as i could find and no one would say a word. Fortunately most people are pretty good about the voluntary orders but I was horrified when i went to the grocery store the other day and saw the shoppers...almost all of them were just shopping their normal way, passing by people within a few inches, not waiting for someone to move before they did etc. I left the place as soon as I got my eggs and milk.
My brother in France is allowed to go outside just once for an hour a day. He has to carry a stamped piece of paper and indicate when he was out each day. It is difficult for them to grocery shop as it is a long walk from their house which takes up much of the hour. They have no car so can only buy what they can carry. But then again, he is still alive so that is the important thing.
I have not seen bonuses on the few shops that are around until it is almost the last day and then they are small. . At least I feel the msc should be offering a bonus for someone to go and risk their and other people's health.
Back to the original topic - the remaining 5 Ipsos Home Stores disappeared from my area. Either taken by shoppers or removed by the client. I suspect the latter as there are now no Ipsos shops available on LI.We are a bedroom community of highly infected NYC and I'm sure that has a bearing.
There were 5 or 6 in the Rochester NY area and they are all gone so they must have been taken down by the client as I know they did not get them all done in the last 2 to 3 days.
