COVID-19 Not Impacting Payment for ACE Mystery Shopping Shops

I just wanted to let everyone know, in case they were wondering, payments are on track for your March shops. I've noticed some uneasiness about companies being able to pay during this crisis, so I wanted to reassure everyone that has completed a shop for ACE Mystery Shopping.

We are about halfway through processing shopper payments for March shops, even though our agreement states we will pay by the end of the following month. We wanted to pay shoppers early, as we know many shoppers are out of work or their income has been impacted due to COVID-19.

When we started making payments on the first of April, we started with those shoppers that had the highest dollar amount owed, so that the shoppers that put out so much more of their own money could recover their reimbursements.

Although we do have several clients that can not pay, we are extending them grace at this time because we realize they have been hit just as hard, if not harder, than we have. We do have a plan and got you all covered. smiling smiley

Thanks!

Thank you, Julie!

Your professionalism makes me wish I were an ACE Shopper.

Maybe when things get started up again....but I just don't think you have shops in my area
(western Nebraska, parts of Colorado, KS, WY, SD....)
Thank you! We have video shops in Omaha and we do have lots of shops in Kansas (although not really Western Kansas as much as close to the KC area). smiling smiley
Wow. Boasting about paying one's bills. Paying a debt is professional. Flaunting that one is doing the right thing is petty. Sad.
Rousseau,
I think that is IS very professional, in these times, to let shoppers know what is going on. Calling that "boasting" seems unnecessary and mean, IMHO.

Poor customer service? Don't get mad; get video.
Considering there are several companies that are having trouble paying their shoppers on time, i think it is a very nice message to let shoppers know that our company will still be able to pay on time. Especially, considering we have many clients that have not sent us their payments for the mystery shops completed. We just want to make sure that our shoppers are taken care of ahead of other things. grinning smiley

Rousseau opines that JulieACE is being petty and Wales disagrees; I cast my lot with Wales. I am relatively, but not absolutely, certain I have never completed any work through ACE. When, though, business once again becomes business, it is my definite aim to rectify that situation by joining Julie's cadre of shoppers.

I'm happy they are doing the right thing and not refusing payment, unlike some other companies. We have spent our own money and completed reports and fulfilled our end, so it's unfortunate when other companies are not paying.
I have done exactly one shop for ACE - it was very shortly after they started operating and when I first starting shopping.... They simply have not had work in my area.

Still, I appreciate the note that they are on track to pay shoppers. There is plenty of uncertainty right now and there are some MSC's that are not paying shoppers on time. To be assured that payment is coming is a good thing.

I gave this response a "thumbs down". If anyone else has the thumbs down symbol, feel free to join me. What happens if enough of us do that, anyhow??
I thought all the mods knew that the thumbs down button got deactivated a long time ago. You can report it using the exclamation point, but the thumbs down button doesn't work AFAIK. A long time ago if you used it, the post would become lighter and lighter until eventually the post would disappear. Ask Mert.

I see this as proactive. I would guess that many shoppers are reassured and relieved that money due them is on the way. Some shoppers need the money from this work desperately, but they do not need to wonder whether payments will arrive or not.

Kudos to ACE and other companies who have explained their situations as soon as they had information to share with shoppers.

I think this is being proactive, given I have had to chase down multiple payments this month from other companies.
I'd like to think you are kidding about your comment @Rousseau, but sadly, I think you are serious. I see ACE as being VERY PROACTIVE AND TRANSPARENT, which is what is needed during these times. Kudos to ACE!!

i think that ACE is remarkably transparent. Julie is quite prompt in responding to inquiries and concerns. Same with Deva, even when she hasn't had her coffee on some days. Even ACE's editors give feedback.
Thanks! I enjoy shopping with your company and the friendly and quick responses from your schedulers and editors!
@Eric in Tampa. OMGosh I think you are starting to know me quite well. HAHAHA!! Yes, as you know, if I'm texting or emailing with you before my coffee, I may NOT make sense and have to retype and retype what I am sending. LOL!
