New email from IPSOS

I took the quiz 4/29 but never got results. And there's no way to follow up on it. Oh well.

Check your "junk email" folder. That's where my first report was. Have not got a result from the second quiz.
I am hoping someone from IPSOS lurks here and reads this...

I can understand IPSOS wanting to get an edge on other MSC's by offering their clients shoppers who take precautions and understand the importance of social distancing, including wearing the proper face masks, but the idea of uploading a selfie wearing a bandanna as opposed to better quality masks is silly and counter-productive. Bandannas do not provide the proper protection, when compared to a mask designed for viruses.

Whose brainstorm was this ? IPSOS needs to change this selfie-with-a-bandanna requirement or lose shoppers.

I do not do selfies. Ever. Period.

I am older so I did not take a selfie. I just used a photo of myself. It was actually taken by me.
In any case I did get my result and evidently I failed. They suggested carefully looking at one particular question and also mentioned to make sure the photo was not missing. I have not re taken the test but I do not think those hints were specifically for me as I did supply a photo. Evidently many are getting the mask question wrong.
I think whoever is scoring the tests must be wrong. As many forum members who have taken it and not passed? I am more aligned with the belief that this forum is composed of mostly observant shoppers who would not miss any of the questions at all and that the people who are grading the tests are incorrect.
I have not looked at the test again but I also did not look at the link to the cdc rules first. But as I recall the question about masks allowed you to check as many as you thought were correct. There was one I was not sure about. I seem to recall it was about the safety of different masks listed and I did not think a bandana was as safe as it is very loose so I did not check that one off. Perhaps I should have read the rules for covid 19 first. Next time I will do that and maybe I will pass.
Is this a new requirement for IPSOS shoppers ? Will I be automatically disqualified if I do not complete this Q & A plus upload a bandanna pic. TY
Hi, Just wondering, did you pass. I took the quiz twice. I was told that I failed. The questions are pretty straight forward. The first time was just oversight. I wore a cloth mask the second time and can't see how I could possibly get the questions wrong.
I have taken the test twice now and failed both times. this time it says upload a picture wearing a cloth face mask, which I have done both times. So I don't know what the problem is.
I just took it again for the second time. I have no idea what I missed. I used the answer that you can stay home and do shops at home if you are ill. The guidelines say it to go out and do shops but nothing about doing shops at home. We shall see if I pass this time
I am someone who saw what was going on in China and began buying N95 masks in early February when I read on twitter that there were people buying them here and mailing them to family in Asian countries. I have a supply to those and KN95 masks as well. Oh and I have a box of surgical masks that my dentist gave me. I won't be buying a cloth mask so I probably won't be shopping for IPSOS in the near future.
No, you would just not get priority. When I passed, I got an email from them that stated, in part:

"Congratulations on becoming an iShopSafe Certified Shopper, and thank you for committing to safe shopping practices! You will get priority access to new in-store mystery shopping opportunities as they become available."

I had to upload a picture a second time. I was not wearing a surgical or N-95 mask the first time, but they obviously thought I was. So, the second time, I chose another cloth mask that was OBVIOUSLY a cloth mask. I even intentionally adjusted it so the mask was heavily wrinkled. That was stupid but it worked.

I just got my fail notice. I was just coming in to ask if ANYONE had actually passed. Glad to know someone did. I obviously had on a cloth mask so that could not have been the problem.

I have been wearing my N95 mask with a cloth "topper" mask when out and about.
That is always an option, too.
Yep. I see some nurses doing that, often to protect the N-95s so that they can use reused longer. Tough to breathe, though.

I’m insanely protective of my N95 mask. Don’t know if/when I can resupply. Wear my cloth on top, loosely, I figure it will help stretch its lifetime out. Don’t notice much difference with cloth on top, air-wise.

I think JAS is right, some of the editors are not passing some when they should be. First time I used a NA mask and failed. Second time I used a cloth mask and failed. Third time I passed with the same cloth mask as the second time.

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away
I took it twice, and passed on the second try. There is one question where the answer that makes sense, is not the answer. That's the only thing I changed, and I passed.
I bought more than 50 N-95 masks years ago and have used very few of them myself. I had given quite a few to people who needed them more than I did before the pandemic but I still had more than 25 left. Then, the you-know-what hit the fan and I have used one N-95 and offered most of the rest to medical workers I know because their workplace is not giving them any. In fact, those workers are strongly "encouraged" to use only one surgical mask each per day.

I still have about 10 new, unused N-95 masks left. One of those is reserved for a particular medical worker if he finally agrees to accept. I keep a used (by me) N-95 in my car in case I need to use it. You can bet I protect that one like my life depends on it (because it just might).

I have also bought (since the pandemic hit the U.S.) about 20 reusable masks (different types, not surgical or N-95). I have used or kept about a third of those and given the rest away (mostly to workers where I get my groceries because their workplace was not giving them any).

Essential businesses that are open in my area are now legally required to provide its workers maslks. It drives me crazy when I see essential workers wearing masks improperly, especially when they have a bad attitude about proper mask use.

OTOH, there are also a lot of people making masks and giving them away. That gives me the warm fuzzies. Every time I see a jerk or an idiot endangering others, I just try to think about the "helpers".

I can't afford to buy and give out masks anymore but I look forward to the day when this is all over and I can stock up on more emergency supplies so that they will be ready when the next who-knows-what makes an appearance.

I wear the approved mask, and not a cloth mask, as I am in a high risk area and also a senior. It seems silly to want a pic of a shopper wearing a bandanna as opposed to proper safe masks. If I pass the test, but opt for better mask protection, this should not disqualify me from shopping. Ipsos needs to change this or lose shoppers.
I agree 100%. They already lost me but I never actually worked for them. I was a transfer from Maritz. I took the certification quiz but they failed me for wearing a N-95 mask which I am required to do IRL.

I am starting to wonder if the Ipsos database was hacked or something. This who certification could be a scam or an attempt at identity theft or something. It seems like not one single forum member has passed the certification. Something seems fishy... or phishy to me.
I took the quiz once and did not pass. I submitted again (corrected one of my multiple choice questions) and passed. Quiz results were instantaneous both times. But I did it via Presto Insta-Shops.
I took the test one time and passed. Try doing it on Presto and be sure to read the guidelines first.
Passed on first try via Presto.
The answer to one of the multiple choice Q's is something I find odd. So do read the guidelines so you know how they want you to the answer.
I took the quiz via Presto today and passed. Am doing a "safety" shop tomorrow at the grocery store I am going to be at anyway.

I took a bandana out of my scarf drawer and made the mask with the hair elastics. I just don't like the Presto platform. I can see where this is going, to cut out schedulers. I also don't like only being able to pick 2 jobs. It makes it really hard to plan a day.
