MF gas station audits

It says mystery followed by audit. Does anyone know is the mystery part getting gas?

Mystery part usually means making in-store purchase and making customer service eval. Then back to your car for the LOA and start the audit. I don't touch them with a 10-foot pole. I'll MS, I'll audit, but don't make me do both. There's an element of "gotcha" I find objectionable.

I don't know but I'm also curious about one with an assignment scenario..."Mystery shop followed by an announced audit. Take required pictures." The shop payment is listed at $5.00 and reimbursement "up to $10.00". I'm guessing there's a fuel purchase of only 2 gal since it says "up to $10", maybe payment at pump and store purchase ($1) required in addition to the audit and pics. Just a two sentence description that mentions shop, audit, and pics. Agreed, that's a lot of work for $5.00. MF should be more transparent regarding the requirements of the gas station shop. Like the current furniture shop that has a $5 payment and mentions it could take up to an hour.

You will do the mystery shop by going in and checking the exterior, interior, bathroom, etc. and make a purchase of any amount as long as you get $3 of gas after the announcement. You will then go back to your car, get your paper work and go back in and announce yourself. You can get gas anytime after the announcement. I normally purchase a small pack of gum and use the rest in gas.

Shopping Arkansas, Louisiana, & Mississippi.

That's the standard gas shop. The mystery part is to buy gas, amount reimbursable depending on the brand, +buy something inside, go to your car and return to reveal yourself and do the audit.

I have done several of these in my area (Eastern Canada) for one particular MSC. It entails getting $15 gas (reimbursed) pay at the pump, go inside and inspect the washroom, make a purchase up to $2 (reimbursed) and leave the store, then go back in with LOA and reveal / audit premises. Usually only takes about 30 minutes, but depends on the number of deficiencies the location has.

Yeah do NOT take this for 5 bucks. I did em at 25 a piece and they took forever for the recaps.

I do hundreds of these shops. I never touch them for less than $18. If the are more than 15 mi away I wait until they are $25.

All the ms/reveal audit I have done for MF get your gas FIRST, then the inside purchase.

There's one client there's no gas reimbursement, so no gas purchase required. But in those cases, the CPI says reimbursement is the $1 or $2. If it says "up to $10", get your gas and gas receipt FIRST.
