IPSOS not paying!!!! scamming shoppers!!!

How many shoppers got this email after doing a large amount of shops? They are trying to get out of paying for work. They do it when you are owed a lot of money. They approve the shops. Wait 2 weeks. Then claim the client is rejecting the shops. Someone is trying to get free work and not paying shoppings. Mind you, these are geo proof, time and date stamped. Also given mostly perfect scores by editors and accepted originally by ipsos. Then they claim their “client” has issues.
Here’s the email. I know others who got the exact same one:

Due to client request, I have removed you from the smartphone/wearables project. We have seen a trend in your shops that caused a red flag. ALL of your shops were marked “no promotions mentioned” which statistically is impossible. Our client has specifically been working with their stores in the areas you shop and is confident at least some of the associates are mentioning promotions. It appears your shop results were hastily entered and were not a true reflection of what happened during your interactions at the stores. Therefore at their request, I have removed you from shopping this program and removed any assigned shops.

It doesn't say they're not paying. It says your assigned shops have been cancelled. Did you get paid for the ones you already did?
If the client already trusts that the employees are doing what they are supposed to do, why are they hiring mystery shoppers to check them out?! That's crazy. Sounds to me that it reveals higher management isn't training as well as they think they are. Either they want the truth or they don't but shoppers aren't getting paid any more or any less to lie or tell the truth. So, why would they lie. Not paying you because they "don't believe you" is ridiculous.
@panama18 agreed! Based solely on this message, it says that you are not eligible to perform any more shops, but not that all of your completed shops will be excluded and not paid. @Dps5 It would probably be beneficial to clarify or revise your post.

Thank you!

The email specifically states that you marked "no promotions" for all of your shops. The client knows there are promotions and so do other shoppers. The client doesn't want you working on the projects for that reason.

Did you miss that?

Not yet. They wont tell me if i will or not. Today they came back and me it wasnt their client at all that said those things and that they never sent it to their client.
Honneybrown, You must be getting paid by ipsos. Must be nice. They red flag any shopper who does a large amount of these shops. They always make up a reason. I believe they do it when a shopper Is owed a lot just so they can get out of paying.
I did not mark every single question no promotion at all. I checked different options. Some were no brand promotion if the associate would not tell me without an account. Having a bogo but have to activate a new line with the carrier is not a brand promotion to me. Its a carrier promotion. I explained that and it was listed in the shops.
And like I said they told me now the client never said any of those things. So the first email was just a big fat lie. The client has no contact with these stores specifically. The client doesnt even know what they are running.
The client doesn’t know anything. Neither does Ipsos. They had me shop a location that’s been closed for several months.

Oh, the irony of you chiming in and posting as your only posts, immediately after dps5 does. Uh huh.....

I make $300-$500, if not more, weekly (except for a couple dry spells) from Ipsos. I have been paid for every shop I have ever done with them. So, there goes your theory.
I don't do these because they are not worth $16 and they dont seem to bonus them any more. I did several one time when they were bonused to $25. I sincerely hope you get paid for your honest work.

I'm only one shopper, but in my experience that is simply not true.

I've done hundreds and hundreds of shops for Ipsos, I've always gotten paid timely and I've never had an issue or a rejected shop.

Yeah, I wouldn't doubt it if it was the same person with a second ID, making it look like he/she is backing up the other poster.
I do get paid by IPSOS because I do their shops correctly. And yes, it is nice!

I'm sure the first two posts are the same user. The accounts were created only about 15 minutes apart.
Sounds like a disgruntled shopper not performing to me. I would prefer Ipsos to do some things differently but getting paid promptly and fully is not an issue for me.
I am not doing such MS you mentioned. But by payments they are the most fastest companies to pay. About the same speed of pay as InTouch Insight.

Shopping Eastern Pennsylvania and parts of NJ, since 2009
I generally do 2-5 shops for IPSOS on the Metrics side every month. Have never had any sort of payment issue with them.
Hi I'm new to the forum, but have been shopping for a couple of years almost. Started shopping a year and a half before the pandemic, and then a few months ago I started up again when jobs started coming back strong. How the heck is someone able to make $300-$500 weekly from IPSOS? They must be paying really well in your area! That is amazing! I hope maybe I can work my way up to that payscale one day! IPSOS has always been good to me, never have had a job rejected from them or anyone actually. I have had to make a revision one time but then it was all good and I got paid. Just my two cents!

Between their two platforms, they have a large variety of shops that can be done in my area. I can make $75-$100 in a day just by doing Ipsos shops. Granted, I generally have a 60-mile radius in which I am willing to drive and can work my rotations with "setting up" in another area about 150 miles away where a large portion of my family lives, staying with them, and then working in a 60-mile radius from that location.

There is one spot within my radius where I think I am the only shopper that will do certain shops, and there tends to be a good amount of them there. So, I'll let shops in that area sit while doing the others that are closer to me. Then, by the time I am done with them, Ipsos has upped the bonuses in that area (was better with Maritz though!) to where I can go there, spend less time actually at locations, and get paid the same amounts, or even more. I'm also willing to go into the inner cities and higher crime areas, at the places other shoppers may avoid. Understanding how your market tends to go every shopping period is a good thing to do.

That is crazy, there is this app called PICKL and they always pay upfront. i like it.

Why do you keep chiming in on multiple threads about PICKL? Are you with their marketing department? PICKL, IMO, is a joke, an insult to the professionalism of shoppers given its pathetically low fees.

I've been shopping for IPSOS for about 7 years and aside from having two or three shops bounced back to me for more information and one shop that was initially rejected and then accepted, I've never had a problem having shops accepted or being paid. It can be extremely frustrating trying to contact them with questions, and I wish that would change. But no issues otherwise.

I learn something new every day, but not everyday!
I've learned to never trust spell-check or my phone's auto-fill feature.
Hi, Michelle

Be willing to travel, and don't hesitate to ask for bonuses!

I made a little over $500 with IPSOS last week, on less than 10 shops.

The one furthest from me was about 160 miles away, rural area with no shoppers.

$150 for that one, and I picked up a shipping shop on the way for $50, and as many ff shops as I could handle at $40-$50 each. And that was just one day.

However, this was unusual, as it was end-of-quarter and they had deadlines that had to be met. I was willing and available!

Nope won’t pay. Mind you that these shops were not only accept but given good scores. 2 weeks later came back removed the remaining shops. You do too many of these electronic cell shops and they just don’t pay you. It’s what they do. Not only do they not pay you, they don’t tell you they won’t pay you. They try to sneak under the radar that they won’t pay you for shops done and originally accepted. You email about it and they won’t respond. There is no one higher up to even complain to.
I’m filing a complaint with the FTC. Does anyone have a lawyer? I think if enough shoppers get together it will be worth it
It’s a continuing scam they run with this client. I can’t say which client but everyone can guess
Oh geez

Are those the cellphone shops on Presto? All mine were paid within a few days. Even Ipsos shops on other platforms are generally paid in a week or 10 days. So to say that an MSC that pays as fast as this one came back 2 weeks later and said they weren't going to pay for shops already done doesn't sound quite right, nor does the claim earlier in the thread that they won't say whether they're going to pay or not. It would be interesting to hear the whole story.
I didn't take on any of these shops but the discussion of IPSOS rejecting shops has been discussed quite a few times over the years with some long-time shoppers having issues. My summery is -All is great until it's not. When they were the main company I worked with, I just considered it the price of doing business with them. Of the hundreds of shops about a handful were rejected with no explanation or way to contest.
