Does Marketforce Really Think Shoppers Will Work For This?

I've actually done several of these audits. I've never had them take me more than 6 minutes a pop. I go in super prepared and just knock them all out very quickly. The employee doesn't want you in there longer than necessary anyways. They are happy to push you out the door quickly. It helps if you know what you are doing. The reports are simple, too. I used to stack 5 or 6 of them a day when they didn't limit it. However, I always waited until they raised the pay to at least $20 or more as they inevitably always do because no one wants to pick up something described as a possible "hour-long" shop for less. Seriously, though, you can knock then out really quickly if you are well-prepped to do so. Which frankly makes for a decent payday if you wait for the boost.

I completely get it but you might not want to say certain things in that statement if you know what I mean. Certain guidelines they request could be compromised. Don’t want them to start really micromanaging their edits.
In 2021, I completed 8-10 long audits at $40, with three going as high as $50, $60, and $75. I have never completed a short audit (the kind where you can do up to 3 per day.) How do they differ from the long audits? In my area, those audits are now being offered at $20. I would like to pick up a few, but not if I lose money in the process.
I saw a lot of MF shops in my area back in the day but never accepted one for less than $15 (circa 2010) and even then, that was on the low end of what I would take. I did notice a lot of the shops were were grabbed for well below that. Why? Who knows. I guess people are willing to work for free.

Market Force has some fast-food burger locations which start out at $4.50, and I usually accept when they reach $15 pay plus reimbursement. Are other people getting paid more? I always wondered if I was requesting too low a fee.

Yes, other people are getting paid more and you should request more! Don't undervalue yourself. I will not shop one of these for under $25 and have been paid over $60. Once someone accepts a location for a low fee, they are much more likely to deny larger bonuses and depend on the cheaper shopper to take the location again.

I sometimes wonder why they have the "make an offer" feature. I'll offer something like $3 over the current pay, and it's routinely declined. I'm not making an unreasonable offer IMHO.

I did a make me an offer for their fast casual national chain shops and plugged in $30. It was assigned 90 seconds later.

A few days later they called and asked me to do another location for $12. I asked for $30.

They said they couldn’t go above $14 and $30 was unheard of.

Okay.

Okay.

From what I understand about their whole process, it sounds like the shop that they called you about had been completed by a shopper that took $14 for pay at that particular location. They won't go above that fee now unless the other shopper refuses to take it at that rate again and the shop becomes urgent. The $14 location could have been 2 miles from where you shopped for a $30 fee, but they will do all they can to keep the fee at the $14 location from rising.
I can tell what the other shopper does them for when I get emails from Samantha. I delete them. I will not do it for the low low.
I quit dealing with them on the phone because I don't have time to be price haggle. If you want it done this is my fee. I'm convinced that if you agreed to less than what they called and offered they'd say well how about a dollar less this time if we add another location too?
