Cirrus

Has anyone worked for them recently? I completed an apartment shop. The report was old school and redundant. The worst part is jobs completed in January will be paid in May! This is unheard of. Beware if you take on shops for them.

I believe you are new and Welcome! Good to have you here. Take a moment to look at the thread on Cirrus. You might even regret doing one shop. Just a heads up before you go and do more.
Cirrus is a 10-ft pole MSC for a reason.

Nope. A good 20 feet.

A 20 foot pole while doing a one way joust on a very strong horse.
I picked up 2 this past week. Assigned Thursday at 4:56 p.m. I started calling Friday morning, no answer left voice-mail. Both apartments were closed Saturday and Sunday, Monday I start my calls and the system starts randomly cutting out, still no answer though I assume. I email two contacts about the issues with Mondays calls. Also that the due date was Monday and I did not get enough time from time assigned to due date to conduct the 3 mandatory calls and voicemails. I received an email back late that day to try calling again since the first calls were not completed. At that point it was after buisness hours. They also extended the due date. Fast forward 3 calls and 3 voicemails I still have had no contact. I emailed the scheduler to ask how to continue. It has been 2 days and I have not heard anything.
I do tons of work for them.

FWIW, they are paying quicker than they used to. Usually within 75 days now.

I'm fine with the slow pay... I'm all about building up receivables. As long as I have money coming in every week from my shops, I don't care about the payment cycles.

While I won't do any apartment shops for any of the companies for base pay, when the bonuses get big, I'm good to go.

Working with the CIRRUS account managers and the owner is a joy. They are always quick to respond to issues, and they throw off-SASSIE projects my way from time to time.
Several years ago, I considered a contract with Cirrus. There was a single reason I opted to pass: The payment terms. There are only two reasons for a company to extend payment beyond 100 days; a desire for interest free loans and/or a cash flow problem. As neither is acceptable to me, I did not apply and I have, predicated upon the experience of other shopper's posts, never regretted that decision. In my opinion, any MSC that would create an environment that discourages contractors, is operating under a business model that is a mystery to me.
A third possible reason: their terms with clients could be Net 75, or something similar.

OMG, last night I was laying in bed thinking " Did I get paid for that apartment shop I did in November?". Today, I looked in my paypal/bank and didn't see the 60.00 payment( bonused). I had to figure out how to send an INVOICE since I never did. This was my first shop for them. The entire payment process is so convoluted. I see in the conformation email that payment won't be until the end of February. Ridiculous. I don't know what made me think of this shop, although I'm glad I did. I won't do anymore shops for them.
That's how their pay schedule is set up, but they do pay. I've been doing their shops for a year off and on.
It really is mind boggling to hear the polar extremes with this company as far as payment goes. What are some people doing so wrong that they feel like they would have to take this company to court? There must be some sort of solution to be able to work for them and make things right. I am always looking for as many high bonused shops as possible.
Yes, I have done many apartment shops with them and I will not sign up if the time frame to complete is too short which is common for them.

Nope. A business has a ethical responsibility to pay their vendors even when their customers have not paid. Besides, no business in their right mind extends 75 days to its customers; they would tell their customers to get a line of credit from the bank.

Not all businesses are ethical unfortunately
I logged into the ISecretShop platform today and I found that Cirrus is apparently now using them as an outlet. I accepted their terms of use. It doesn't mean I will do shops for them.
Finally got paid from my November job. I unsubscribed from their numerous emails a day.

It has long been listed in iSS. But, I have never seen it post an available shop there.
