Bestmark Payments

This has now moved to a payment date of November 30th. I plan on waiting. What happens will determine whether I ever shop for them again. If not paid by early 2023, I will escalate.

I emailed the CEO demanding immediate payment. I received direct deposit today. Email the CEO, demand immediate payment.
This really sounds like a cash flow problem where they are only paying shoppers who complain and are pushing all other payments out to the future. I would be very wary. I certainly would not rack up a lot of out of pocket expenses with them. If they go belly up, shoppers will be the last in line,
Whats the latest? Are people getting paid as promised? There was a private Bestmark Shoppers Facebook group that one of the Bestmark leaders, Jane Edwards, somehow joined and she posted in early November that everything would be caught up by end of November. Hopefully that happened!
Jane has helped me get paid the last two times and was a joy to work with. I, however, decided to not shop for them again until whatever issue they have is resolved. I. Curious to know if folks are getting paid.

IC agreement says you will not be paid until they are paid. It says they will not pay you if the client isn't satisfied with your work. I was paid late every time. I would probably still roll the dice. But I WOULDN'T work for them while I could find work elsewhere.
I received payment for 2 shops on November 30.
I believe payment was pushed back by 5 days.

Although they are the slowest, I received 3 different payments from Bestmark in the last 2 weeks. The first was pending since August, but the second and third covered shops in October.
I did 8 shops for them and originaly they were promised to be paid on 11/20. On such day they moved the day to 11/30. I wrote the scheduler (Who sent me new shop) and she promised me that i will be paid. The payments were sent with Paypal on 11/30.

I'm new to mystery shopping (2 months). Today I received my second BestMark payment.

The first posted payment date was Nov. 22 (I think), I received payment on Nov. 30.

This month's posted payment date was Dec. 20, I received payment today, Dec. 22.

Sure, payment was not received on the exact posted date, but I'm okay with my experience. They have good shops around me and I will continue working with them.

I am also new to Mystery Shopping (2 months) and was concerned that I did not receive payment for services rendered in November by the expected due date 12/20.

Every other MSC has either paid early, paid on time, or has responded to my payment inquiries - so the late payment of BestMark and non-response to my email was upsetting. After receiving my email, they changed the payment due date from 12/20/2022 to 1/20/2023...unacceptable.

I emailed the CEO, received a reply, and my money was posted today (2 days late).

If I keep my end of the agreement and perform/submit shops on time, I expect MSCs to keep their end of the agreement and pay me on time...or at the very least, acknowledge the delay.

I did some of the sports store in October. Wasn't paid as promised and wrote to the CEO and was paid a few days later. I would do more shops for them but on a more limited basis since I don't like to chase payments.
So since I complained here in the past, I figured that it was only right to report that I was paid today for a shop that I did at the end of last month. As a result, I just took another shop with them. Maybe they finally have things fixed.

Actually just discovered that there is a second thread with a similar name where I had posted previously. But the facts remain the same, I was paid promptly.

I was paid on time in December. I was not as fortunate this month. The pay date was supposed to be January 20th.
January 23: I sent an inquiry through the website asking about the status of shopper payments. I got a reply 3.5 hours later that said, "Please provide a valid shopper ID." The inquiry form automatically fills in a field with a shopper's ID. So I'm thiniking, "Huh?"
January 24: I sent in a 2nd inquiry through the website asking again about shopper payments and explaining that I had provided my shopper ID. Never got a reply. At all. Zilch.
January 26: On this thread I found the email for Jane Edwards, Senior VP of Strategic Growth at Bestmark. I gave her an overview of the things that I had done and asked her for her help in getting a reply from the shopper payments department. Jane replied a little over an hour later. She said that she had escalated the lack of any reply to the COO and said that something like that shouldn't be happening. She also said, "I do know that we have been processing payments all week and will be caught up this Friday."
January 27: This was the Friday that Jane said my payment would come. It didn't.
January 28: Paypal informed me that I had been paid.

I'm doing a bunch of the sneaky hotel event/meeting message board audits each week through the rest of 2023. I sure hope that I don't have to a hassle every month to get paid.
So, after being paid promptly in January, my February payment is delayed. The website says that my direct deposit was processed on 2/22/2023, but it's still not showing in my account. Last month the website said that it was paid on 1/20, and I got it on 1/25. I guess that i need to contact them.

Update -- sent a payment inquiry and no response yet.

Update 2 - never got a reply, but I did get paid on 3/9. So basically, two weeks after the website said the payment had been sent.

Got paid on time for my February shop. I was actually surprised to see it in my account today. I've been doing their alcohol delivery shop once they add a $10 bonus. Only problem is that i have a bunch of cans of beer and can't give them to the food pantry as I do with other unwanted food items.
I stopped shopping for Bestmark because of the payment issue, but it's been a while and I"m willing to try again. I've checked several times in the last couple of months and no jobs are posted. Is anyone else seeing anything lately?

Give them to the homeless people like people do with the unwanted fast food, food. I'm sure they would appreciate it. And the website doesn't allow emojis. So ROTFLMAO.
Yes, they do post shops, at least in my area.

Mister Bill, I keep coming across recipes that include a can of beer and they sound interesting. I do not really like the bitter taste of most beer but in a recipe it adds a nice component. If you cook or know people who do they may be able to use them. Some beer drinkers have personal brand preferences but in cooking another brand would be ok.

Bestmark is now part of CX Group. If you are signed with them you may have missed the communication. I never shopped with them so have no idea if all their jobs are there but sign into the new website.

I missed the notice but saw that the website name has changed. But the shop I did at Bestmark previously is still on their site.
Bestmark promises me that I will be paid on the 20th of each month.
December 2022: I was paid on the 20th
January 2023: I was paid on the 28th
February 2023: I was paid on the 22nd
March 2023: I was paid on the 21st
April 2023: I was paid on the 17th! Three days early, how about that!
Just wanted to say thanks! Forgot to come back and give an update. I was paid shortly after I emailed Jane. However, did a shop with them after and they paid on time. So hopefully they’re all caught up?
