How long do you feel bound by your make-an-offer bids to MarketForce?

Every time I've had a make-an-offer accepted, I've been notified the same day (usually within an hour or two) that it's been accepted. So if I don't have an e-mail within 24 hours, I assume I'm not getting the assignment. But being conscientious, I worry about finding assignments that day/time with other companies in case MarketForce gets back to me more slowly.

Do you hold the slot open for MarketForce for 24 hours? 48 hours?

I've also noticed that I seem to get phone calls shortly after submitting a MAO, and I *think* they're from MarketForce, but I don't answer unrecognized numbers, plus I don't want MF to try to talk down my offer on the phone.

I've *also* noticed that they seem to be accepting the MAOs less frequently, even for locations I've done for that fee before.

I wait a couple of hours and if the shop has not been accepted or declined, I email the help desk (those usually get declined but I move on). I never hold a slot for anyone. If you wait, you’re probably missing something that pays better because generally acceptance emails are fairly quick.
Their number shows up as a telephone number in St. Ignace, MI.

I recently noticed that after a couple of hours, if I go back into the shop that I MAO for I'll see a message like "your MAO was declined". So if I don't receive an assignment email I'll go back in and check. So far I have seen this the past 3 times my MAO was declined. I don't know if it's something new or if I just never bothered to check before.
I get the same thing. My MAO declined, and a new MAO has to be at least $3 lower than the one they declined.

This is a great tip, thank you!

I did just try to go back in, but their search system sucks (to put it politely), and these were for a town further away so I had to try and re-create the temporary search profile I had used to find that assignment in the first place. I've gone back in to the two jobs I *think* I put the offer in on, but they don't list the date I originally requested, so I'm not even sure they're the right ones but I don't see any others that fit.

In the future I'll note down the exact assignment number for any MAOs I put in, but I don't think there's a way to search by assignment number, is there?
This morning I MAO and it was declined. I resubmitted for $1 less and it was approved.
Usually I get within a few hours acceptance. If not, I go to the job board and see if the shop is still listed. If so, I reapply.
If there is and if you ever find it, please share! I have to write down the shop locations I have made offers on and look for the red text at the top of the page to ensure I’m looking at the right shop. The dates you requested them for do not show up to my knowledge.

Hi @big_sky_thunder:
Did you make the offer on the same shop or were there 2 shops listed in the same location and you placed the 2nd bid on a different location? I get a note that my bid has to be $3 less if I try to bid on the same shop again. Just wondering if it’s different for different shoppers.

I’ve frequently gotten my normal high price via a phone scheduler when the same offer was rejected online. It happened multiple times just this week.
Usually if I am getting approved at my offer they do so immediately.

My rejections sit for a long time.

I've had luck calling them and asking for a location the day of.

I have not had any luck answering THEIR calls or THEIR email offers.
All my most profitable routes with MF came from calls from schedulers.

I'm a firm believer in retaining names and phone numbers of schedulers, and doing the most possible to build a relationship with them. Especially with MF, they have the knowledge, power, and experience to really help shoppers build profitable routes.

Yes, definitely jot yourself a note of the name of the town. Nothing else needed; you'll know where to search!
They are dedicated to saving a buck. I got an email confirmation assigning me a Fast Casual shop starting in a half-hour that I accepted by email 2-3 days ago. They kept the shop posted all of this time for a dollar ($1) less than they offered me.
