Market Force payments

I read about issues with another MSC and that led me to Market Force. Apparently they lost a couple of big accounts, but I haven't done any work for them yet. Based on other members' recs that one should apply to more MSC, I decided to see what they have.

What is their payment schedule and for those that do work for them are they paying on time? I had to laugh at one of their FF entries that has a $0.00 fee and a $9.00 reimbursement for chicken fingers. I did the same FF site with another MSC a couple of weeks ago and there was a fee and reimbursement. I saw some make offers on storage, but some of those assignments require you to rent if the salesperson doesn't show up after a certain period of time.

I've been fortunate that the vast majority of the work I've done is paid within 10 days and a decent portion has not required a purchase.

Market Force only pays once per month, and the pay is usually direct deposited by the 20th of the month for shops completed in the previous month. The reason I included the word "usually" is because Market Force did issue payments late once this year.

This MSC starts all their shops at ridiculously low fees. However, they are known for paying well over $50 for shops with a base fee of $4.50 (usually in remote areas), provided the shopper is not consistently accepting low fees. Try making a high offer on a storage shop - you might be surprised smiling smiley
I consider MF to be a reliable payor. Some people got bent out of shape when they were a day or two late earlier this year. I viewed it as a chance to pick up more shops.

I used to describe MF as the Big Gorilla of the MS industry. Now, it looks like IPSOS is challenging for King of the Hill.

[My recollection is that MF got started with venture capital from Bain Capital in the days when Bain Capital was run by Mitt Romney. This is just a piece of useless trivia but does speak to them probably still having good finances.]

Shopping Southeast Pennsylvania, Delaware above the canal, and South Jersey since 2008
Funny because I had this exact same thought yesterday--as I was updating the MSC list, of course.

I intend to live forever. So far, so good.
They used to be a "force" to be reckoned with. Now they are not they force they want to be in the industry.

When I first started shopping, they were called Shop N Chek. It took me a while to adjust to Marketforce.
