IPSOS wish list!!!

My list is short, but I just wish that once you have done enough shops for a particular client or scenario, you would have to stop taking the quiz to prove you can do the shop. I understand they want people to be aware of things before they go out and try to perform the shop, but at some point, it's no longer necessary to prove you know how to complete shops successfully.

So my wish would be that they set a parameter (maybe at 10) and stop requiring the quiz after that. I'm okay taking a quiz for a new client/project, but once I have done enough of them, I do not understand why I have to keep proving I can do them months/years later.

Being able to pass the test online does not equate to doing the shop correctly. It might lead you to believe that it will, but just because I can pass a test does not mean i will EXECUTE all the steps correctly in person.

I know others will wish for higher pay, but I take IPSOS shops when I feel the pay is fair and not before it reaches that level.

The quizzes are kind of pointless, too, because they are too easy and allow pass throughs. It makes more sense to use the shopper score or number of successful shops.

A person with 200 shops and an average score of 9-10 clearly is dependable.

These people think that by adding new instructions or new questions that we need to answer all the old things that have not changed. I don't know how many quizzes I have taken for the banking client or the fast food Chinese Client now. It's beyond ridiculous.

My stance is....if I do the shop wrong, then I won't get paid. That is ON ME. So it's imperative to make sure I know all the rules/questions in survey before I head out the door.

I remember with Sinclair they had a goofy method of doing something, but NOT requiring quizzes. They had boxes with different guidelines and you had to checkmark them as your indication of being aware of them. The one nice thing was, at least if they added a new one, you only had to check that one and not redo all of them all over again. Only the new/changed ones.

The quizzes have to change when a guideline changes or something needs to be made clearer and everyone has to retake them - I know it's frustrating - on my wish list is that it would tell you in an easy way that there is a new quiz to take

That is NOT a valid wish. That is something that cannot be undone. That's equivalent to wishing the Dodgers had won game 7 vs the Houston Astros in 2017 world series, or that Scott Norwood had not missed wide right in the Superbowl vs the Giants, or that OJ had been found guilty in the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson/Ronald Goldman, or that Biden had not won the presidency (had to throw that in there).

I wish they would learn to alphabetize the list of states in their e-mails.

They seem to be the only MSC that uses the SASSIE platform that is incapable of doing this.

Bob, Merriam-Webster and Oxford all disagree with daddy--to have a desire for something, such as something unattainable; so said Merriam-Webster. Now for Oxford--feel or express a strong desire or hope for something that is not easily attainable; want something that cannot or probably will not happen. In closing, either definition, in my opinion, fits the situation.

Yes, it is technically the definition of the word. However, I tend to keep my wishes based in reality. @wrosie had a good wish that I forgot about. My wish for the stupid quizzes to end is also a good wish. A wish to undue a "merge or sale" of a business is not logical. At that point, it becomes fantasy.

Well, these quizzes can be annoying it is simply a part of doing business with Ipsos. Even the first time doing a quiz for a client they are not hard and should not require more than 10 minutes and that's probably a stretch. The more you have to redo a quiz the quicker and easier they should be so a few minutes. As you know this requirement upfront simply incorporate it into what is a fair rate for the shop. A good example of this is there are a few shops which require you to fill out a handwritten copy of the form and upload to the report. This adds time and work that is unnecessary but is a requirement to do the shop. I therefore charge $10 to $20 more than the price I need for the same shop without that requirement.

Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.

Bob agrees--Such a wish is indeed, not logical, BUT, it is, by definition, literal. Who among the members of this board have never WISHED they had taken an action in the past? My wish was predicated upon the positives that, for me, were a part of Maritz: Accessibility and willingness to "open their purse."

Oh, I came to this thread to add the very same wish, Those emails drive me crazy! We all could very quickly scroll down to our state if they were in order, but no. We have to slow it down and peruse the whole list to find the one we need. Ugh!

Just got the Chinese fast food posting. CA listed first (so that works for me), but Utah listed next, followed by Hawaii, Idaho and several other states. The last one listed was ALASKA.

They also send out multiple emails at once with your state appearing in each separate email, but for separate locations in your state. Alphabetize and consolidate.

Side point about my LA Dodgers and the Astros. The Astros cheated. I wish they had not cheated. LOL. The Dodgers deserved it, but that is for another thread!

that one is a Sassie thing. So if you have daytime shops and nighttime shops, they have to be in their own 'session' so you can have multiple sessions for 1 client and they overlap, and the only way to email them is separately. That one is also on my wish list that they could be combined.

This. Clearly they don't believe in professional shoppers. They view each of us as just a stepping stone on their way to the bottom - they shopper who will work doodles rather than dollars. One wonders about the quality of IPSOS managers who do not fear for the decline of data quality.

The quizzes are not a problem. They don't take but a few minutes. Taking the quiz makes one aware that a program has been changed (however small the change actually was) and allows the OP to focus a bit more on that particular client. Yes, a quiz can seem annoying, but they are not a problem.

I never said it was a problem. I just wish I did not have to keep proving my ability to pass a test. A passed quiz/test does not equate to a successful shop in the future. It might help, but it does not guarantee someone will do it right.

I would be happier with the quiz/test if it was just the items/rules/guidlelines that have changed. I know what I can and cannot order. Why do I have to be quizzed on this EACH time? Show me the changes only and quiz me on those.

My wish is that the editors would become more consistent. Most of the time I don't have a issue with the editors, and if it doesn't effect what I get paid, I'm good.

But it is obvious they evaluate and score differently.

Some give feedback, some don't. Some follow the guidelines while others make up their own rules. Some ding you for something that another one doesn't. Do it the way the editor who pinged you said and the next time your pinged for doing it that way. Granted guidelines do change, but it is sometimes obvious that some editors just like to exercise their perceived authority. And, some are just plain confusing. I got feedback on a gas audit once that read "don't make it a white glove audit" and "be sure to capture all infractions." Really?

The inconsistency creates confusion for shoppers. All the quizzes we take, well the editors should have to take them too on a regular basis in some higher frequency than shoppers. Consistency is key, well and paying well.
