I gave them three tries. Still have not been paid for July work. It seems they have disconnected my account. I would not hold out any great hope for getting reimbursed. I enjoyed working their shops and dealing with the editors but getting reimbursed was always worse than pulling teeth.
Yes, I have called, I have texted, I have emailed her, She keeps having major excuses. I am frustrated. I think the next step would be a group small claims case to prove we are not taking her excuses any more. She messaged me in December saying she was zelle me the money the next day. that was 6 weeks ago. last excuse her daughter was very sick and in hospital. I spoke to one editor and he has stopped working for them and hasn't been paid in four months.
I also work for the satisfaction services in Texas and Neve have a problem with them.
Wow your story sounds exactly. Like to the letter. I agree to have this stop happening I think we need to band together and create a class action.
Fortunately for me, I read this thread before accepting a lunch job paying $15+$15; I was suspicious of the $15 fee for a fast food shop.
A class action lawsuit won't do any good if she is bankrupt and doesn't have the funds to pay.
But she could at least say that instead of promising payment and then disappearing. How can one find out if the company has gone bankrupt?
Generally, the only people who win in class action lawsuits are the lawyers. The claimants get pennies. And lawyers would only be interested in huge cases.
Probably 25 yrs. ago, I was a member of such a suit against TCBY. My recompense was to be $100, but after the attorneys took their cut, I received a check for $2 and change.
I last shopped for them a year ago and it took months to get paid. I’m sorry the situation has deteriorated. They have some great clients (especially if you’re visiting South Florida) and a very attentive and friendly editor but I wouldn’t risk shopping for them again.
Just incredulous reading these kinds of threads. I just can't fathom - not paying people. I've owned smalll/medium companies averaging 42 full time employees. Had many years where we succeeded wildly. Had some years - where heck I thought I'd have to lock the doors and pack my own box and pray the bank doesn't take my house. Once I had my first child - and I came SO close to losing my business (2008 crash) and I had signed personal guarantees on real estate, leases, etc. Was so scared bank would take my house. (No degree, no fallback). I remember buying oodles of grocery gift cards, bulk food and baby supplies with hopes the bank can't find nor take that stuff. Was gonna park wife and baby in parent's house out of state while I rebuilt myself. Luckily we made it thru smelling like a rose. BUT - -NEVER EVER EVER did I come close to not paying employees. Never once were we late on payroll by even a day. It just doesn't compute for me. Plumber comes over, he fixes leak - he gets paid. Etc etc etc. And it's not that missing a $20 fee is gonna crush someone - it's the principle. It's total thievery.

I am waiting for payments since July 2022 as well. They had been slow before that and when I communicated with her, after several attempts, she sent me a lengthy email about being sick. She said she always pays her shoppers. I got payments from March to June of 2022. Since then I have communicated multiple times with no response. When the scheduler contacts me for assignments, I inform them I would like to do the work, but I am awaiting back pay.
I have not been paid either for my shops and emails and calls do not get any results. I enjoyed their shops but cant do anymore until this situation is rectified.
This is a flashback to Superior Customer Solutions and the owner who left shoppers in the lurch.
