After the company lost their big clients a couple of years ago I thought they had gone out of business, but I received an email today that they're recruiting for a new client in my area. The program will start in the spring. It sounds like the premise is similar-a small group of trained shoppers who will do multiple shops each round.
The message listed the city/zip codes for the locations. I did some Google searching and think I may have figured out who the client is. If so, I'm excited!

I skimmed the email. Any idea what industry the client is in?

I find it strange that somebody is registered with Ardent but not working for them. When I was working for Ardent you either worked every month or you were deactivated. And you didn't get to just randomly register with Ardent back then, you had to be invited and you had to go to training.

I had done shops for both of the big clients they lost. You're correct that each month I was assigned locations to go to and scenarios to complete. However, since that last big client went away the MSC seemed to have gone dark.

They went out of business. Which is why I question all this Ardent stuff. Especially the part about being registered and not actually doing any jobs for them because that's not how they worked.
I got that email also, and have since deleted it. However, am I remembering correctly that the merch jobs offered by Ardent are on a W2 basis, and not as an Independent Contractor? If they are W-2, some may be interested in that, but I prefer staying as an IC.@aayaey wrote:
I did see the email from Alta / Ardent but mine was all merchandising as well.
