Food Delivery from Intellishop now on S2N

The poor quality food shops used to get nicely bonused by Intellishop are now with the low fee company. If you're starving for low quality food they're reimbursed.

But they don't ever offer $20 or $30 fees on top, right?

In my city there are rarely bonuses anyway so it really does not matter. The food is not worth the effort.
I am a very easy person to please with food, BUT, my single experience was quite negative. It was literally necessary to chew, fill my mouth with water and then swallow. I did not have any problem with sickness, but it would take a considerable fee, at least triple digits, for me to entertain another such assignment.
I just saw one today, for the grilled cheese. In all honesty, we liked the cheese one, but didn't at all like the dilly of a one (although we tried that one twice). Which was odd considering the same brick & mortar restaurant made both. Maybe dilly just doesn't have a good food concept to begin with.

I learn something new every day, but not everyday!
I've learned to never trust spell-check or my phone's auto-fill feature.

I think the dilly one has a good concept, it just stunk the way they executed it. I lived in Dallas for 32 years and love Mexican food.

The quesadilla I got from the ghost kitchen had all the jalapenos in one spot which almost made that part of it uneatable. That also made the rest of the quesadilla bland. The fillings were also meager, flavorless and lackluster.

I thought $12 or whatever for a grilled cheese you would normally get off a child's menu for about $3 wasn't worth the price. It wasn't bad, but I saw nothing to warrant the inflated price. Just IMHO. And I did both of the shops twice. I bowed out the third time they came around.

However, I would do them both again to see if they fixed the issues shoppers brought up and improved the product.
They were wildly inconsistent for me. Sometimes delicious, other times most of the ingredients were missing. Intellishop had decent bonuses for these.
Based on the food and the prices, I couldn't imagine these places lasting more than a few weeks.

And since they weren't actual restaurants, how would people know to order from them? Advertisements on social media?

I think they're basing their model on people finding them through the delivery apps like Door Dash and Grub Hub. They show up on Grub Hub in my area if you do a search for places near you or if you specify what type of food you're looking for. But without a broader reach, I'm not sure how they plan on gaining a strong foothold in such a competitive market.

I, too, would try them again to see if they've improved.

So if I'm understanding you correctly, if I don't go on one of the apps as ask for grilled cheese or Mexican food they will never get any orders? Seems like a bad business model to me.

Funny I called 5 Guys today for a shop and asked if they delivered and the response I got was they don't so I would have to go to one of the apps to order. But the shop allows and/or encourages you to use their website to place the order,
I totally loved the Italian sub, but a big thumbs down on their fries. I would take it again and again for that sub though, and I finally figured out their new MSC. Happy girl!

How many legs does a dog have if you call the tail a leg?

I've never seen one for subs, but I love Italian subs!

For the grilled cheese, it shows up on GH under "Sandwiches." The other shows under Mexican. But they also come up, for me, under "near me" because the restaurant that makes them is close to me. I don't know how they show up on Door Dash. Personally, I haven't seen or heard any advertising for these virtual restaurants, but I don't watch much TV or listen to commercial radio much, so they might be advertising. I just don't know. I agree that it doesn't sound like much of a business model.

The ghost kitchen uses the exact same ingredients as the host restaurant (check the menus of each), so there isn't much overhead to keep it running.
@BirdyC -- They call their Italian sub sandwich "High Standards."

Oof, what a bad experience. I don't learn, apparently. Hope some of you are having better luck.
Some were definitely short-lived. I think the taco concept with the comedian's name attached to it is one of them.
