This week was the first time I did this particular type of shop since you could self-assign them. I had scheduled it for Friday, the 3rd, but turns out I need to do it tomorrow, the 2nd. I couldn't re-schedule through the system, although I've been able to do so for other shops; it said I had to email. There's no scheduler for this shop, so it has to go through the general email box. I emailed yesterday. No response yet.
Here's the other dilemma: I checked the confirmation email (before I sent my email to the black hole) and saw that the due date was listed as tomorrow, not Friday. Email says one thing, shop log says another. In my email, I said I was going to go by the confirmation email and do it tomorrow.
It used to be that you could do the shop prior to the due date because you had a window in which to do it. I'm not sure this is still the case.
I don't expect to get a response by the time I have to do the shop. Do you think I'm OK doing it tomorrow? I can't imagine doing it earlier instead of trying to do it later is a problem, but you never know....
I learn something new every day, but not everyday!
I've learned to never trust spell-check or my phone's auto-fill feature.
