Self-assign limit on ISS

Hello,

I am active on the ISS app and right now my self assigned limit is 2. I typically have assignments in my queue so often when I request new assignments I get the message that I am over my limit but my request has been made. 100% of the time, I later get rejected for that request. These are requests that I have successfully done when I am able to snag them right away when I’m not over my limit.

Does anybody have any experience with being accepted for shops like this? It’s a little annoying because it stays on your request list basically until the deadline goes away so maybe they are keeping you waiting in the wings in case the assigned person can’t get it done.

Furthermore, if you cancel these requests while they are sitting in your request file, are you penalized?

I am not sure if this is a limitation of ISS itself, or the companies that post the shops. My understanding is that ISS is basically the platform (software/app) for the mystery shopping companies. I would consider reaching out to the specific company offering the shop. I do know some apps/companies utilize a "backup shopper" concept, so that is possible they keep you waiting until the shop gets done, in the event they may need you to go do it.

I also don't think there is a penalty if you request something, its pending, and then you cancel the request.
I have a limit as well. I just email the scheduler, and they schedule them for me if I need it.

Shopping Arkansas, Louisiana, & Mississippi.
Yesterday I did apply for a whole bunch of quick shops that were in a mall five minutes away. I was at my self assigned limit and I emailed the scheduler and explained that I would love to do those shops because they are grouped together. Happily, they assigned me for all of them and I basically can just run around this mall grabbing brochures and doing these all at one time. I’m not sure if emailing the scheduler was the key but yeah things definitely worked out in my favor.
