Intelli-shop currently pays me on the 20th for work completed by the 20th of the prior month. I have been contracted with them since 2005 and, although payments dates have changed on a few occasions, I do not recall any tardiness.
@shopperbob Specific to the car shops, they said they were paying twice a month for those as an incentive. I did not see what two dates were outlined as payment dates for the car shops.
I wonder what is going on? I emailed Stacy and she copied payment department, but have not heard back.
Got a response saying the Friday July 7th payment date was a mistake. Payment will be sent on the 14th. Status has been reset to Payment Pending.

I got same response. I posted it on the other thread. At least payments aren’t lost!
IS has changed the days available to shop, the rotation, and the fees since this program began. They acccept shops, mark them "received" (almost always a prelude to getting paid for them) and then refuse pay, because of a technicality, not laid out in the original instructions, but in a confusing fashion. Of course, the shopper isn't told of the changes that occur after the shop is assigned, so the shopper isn't paid. The fees for the shop almost always double, and sometimes triple, as these difficult shops linger on their job board. We are told when pay is rejected that Sundays are not "shop days", and the excuse given is that the dealerships are understaffed on Sundays, so they 'usually' don't allow test drives. That is pure BS, as Sundays are the 2nd largest sales day, traditionally, among car dealers. Ask yourself this question: If you went into a dealership on a Sunday and were ready to buy a car. but wanted a test drive, would they manage to give you test drive? Darn Tootin' they would! IS specifically asks the shopper to arrive, "...by 12pm if your shop is a weekend" but then IS changed their own rules and will not pay if you shop on a Sunday! This shop belongs on everyone's 10 foot pole list.

Interesting. In NY, NJ, PA, DE, and MD car dealerships are closed on Sundays. That is the law. In fact, 19 states forbid car sales on Sundays. I suspect that the MSC is trying to be consistent about timing nationwide by excluding Sunday shops. BTW, there is still one county in NJ that still enforces Sunday Blue Laws so that virtually everything is closed: [www.wnyc.org] Through the 1960s, there was only a single County (Ocean County) in NJ that permitted any stores other grocery stores to be open on Sunday (and even grocery stores had to restrict what was for sale).

Shopping Southeast Pennsylvania, Delaware above the canal, and South Jersey since 2008
And interestingly enough, the Blue Law county (Bergen) has the largest number of malls in NJ. The residents prefer to keep the law in effect due to the horrendous traffic around all the malls. I love going that way on Sundays when the traffic is so much lighter.
