Coyle scoring

I hardly ever do an Coyle shops since they are so intense. I occasionally do a take out shop. Did one the other day and got this scoring. One score was 92 and the other 86.4. I think they are pretty good score considering what everyone says about them. For those of you that do them on a regular basis, are these scores good enough to try a sit down dinner or lunch?

I am a newbie with Coyle, but since no one else has responded I'll give my 2 cents. I don't think the previous scores matter. Just go to their sample reports and see what they entail. It is a matter of knowing what they want and devoting a huge chunk of time to delivering it. If you can, I would suggest starting with a meal without the additional bar shop attached to get your feet wet. Major things you have to remember are time stamps for everything and opening and closing quotes from everyone, along with ETT (eye contact, teeth (smile), and tone for each encounter). LOL their acronym, not mine!

I wouldn't say they are strict about scoring if you follow the rules/format that they ask for.
I'm not sure if those scores are "good enough" or not. Were you able to look at the scoring and see where you might be able to improve? Were there any parts that were challenging for you? What kinds of shops did you do?

I agree with trying to do a shop that is just a restaurant and not a bar plus restaurant. Make sure you can get all the details that they are looking for as well as all the photos. If you're new to it, consider making a checklist for yourself. For your first one, you might also want to consider lunch or a slightly more casual place just so there is less to observe. It's easier to do soft drinks and an entree than drinks, starters, entrees and desserts.
