IPSOS editors getting picky.

Has anyone noticed how picky they are getting on the blue stations? If it is not in the guidelines, I am not doing it. I got knocked down points for not putting the dispensers in numerical order and not putting a PHOTO the editor wanted in place instead of another.

The pump order is in either the instructions or the report. I don't have one on hand right now but I know it is there. However, it does not state whether the numerical order needs to be ascending or descending. I have gone backwards, for spite of course, and not been told any differently. And each photo has its own place on the report. But yes, sometimes they get picky over things you would never expect.
They seem to have some new editors who are just themselves learning how all this works. We seem to be in our "lets hope the new editors get better soon before we all lose our patience" Era.
the numerical order is mentioned in the yellow gas station guidelines.. It's not in the guidelines for the blue/red stations that require pictures of all of the pumps. And I checked a report form, and there is nothing about numerical order there either.

My best advice is to ask the editor where it says that numerical order is required. Have them give you the specific address of where it says that is required.

Not for the Blue pumps. Only the yellow. The editor even admitted it was her preference and her right to dock me for it because she had to do extra work.
Yellow pump numbers are already part of the form, in order.

It was on the report form of the red/blue, I think. It may have been removed, like so many other requirements that are still enforced but no longer appear in the new "streamlined" shop guidelines.

Actually it's NOT her right to dock your score because she has to THINK for 2 extra seconds, or learn to count.
The survey form for the yellow sites automatically self populates the numbers for each pump picture after you quantify the number of pumps. This is a really nice feature. When the MSC has those training videos and asks for questions to be addressed during the zoom I keep asking if the survey form for the Blue sites may also be automatically self populated. I have not seen it addressed or responded to.
i wouldnt say picky...i think they hired a bunch of new editors who are green...ive been getting 8's,9's, 10s randomly this past month with no rhythm or reason as to why and shops are pretty similar...
The yellow stations has a really nice feature. When you put in how many pumps the survey self populates. It makes it easy to skip around to available pumps. I have asked in at least a couple of the live, interactive training sessions if the Blue surveys can be enabled for this. I hate when I miss a pump sequence and realize when I am inputting #12 and there is a remaining field that I missed inputting #4.

`The other thing on the wish list is to have Sassie have a route planning function like Shopmetrics has. Moving the Blue sites to Presto sort of blows that.
I just got an 8 from their shipping shop, no reason given. I guess they don't like it when you complain about the service you received (I had a 12-minute wait and explained it in detail, as requested).

Same thing happened to me and when I asked why I was told, please sit down before reading more, by the program manager, that entering ANYTHING in the Comments Section results in a loss of points. The Editors, poor souls, must remove the comments (This must take HOURS) before submitting the report to the client for review. And when they must take time to use their delete button, that knocks your score down.

I think one of the gas station jobs removed Lottery Tickets from their list of prohibited items for the small item purchase in the guidelines. I was tempted to buy one since it was the only item going for a dollar or less other than a small cup of ice. I decided it was an oversight and the editor would refuse the shop based off of what used to be in the guidelines and not what was there at the time I claimed it.

I guess that's it, since I apparently committed the cardinal sin of explaining why I gave them a 4. But they say that the comments at the end of the form do not go to the client, and are only for explaining your responses on the form, so why do they need to delete them? They did ask me to explain the reason for my 12-minute wait, which I did in detail, as requested.

Hopefully my future shops will take under 5 minutes like they always have and I'll get my 10.
Morled...I don't think you can get a receipt for lottery tickets if you need one for the shop. I'd steer clear of buying one.

I got a 9 on a shipping shop and wondered why..That's too funny about the comments. I always thought it would clarify things a bit. PS..I've only recently starting getting grades on shipping shops. Must be a new thing with them.

Is anyone having issues with pictures going missing after report submission?
got the same. 8,9 points without explanations but another editor just got 10

I always post the pump pictures in order. That way I make sure I got all the pumps. I also upload the pictures while I'm at the station.

well, that's good, because I never mentioned lottery tickets, and live in a state where you can't buy lottery tickets. I do sometimes go up to TN because there is a "yellow" station up there that has the BEST fried chicken I've ever tasted. I go up there, do a shop and buy myself lunch. I can buy lottery tickets up there, but unless the Jackpot is very high, I don't.

I learned the hard way that when you make comments, you not only can get a lower score, you can outright get your shop rejected. I had a shop where the clerk did the right thing but not for the reason the shop was testing. I thought it would be good to note it in the comments. The added information was used as a basis to reject the shop. If I had not made any comments, the shop would have been approved. The lesson here is that it is not always good to provide context in the comments section.

I am glad you said something about that too. I kept getting lower scores on my reports, (8 and 9), but when I stopped making the comments in the reports, I started getting 10s again. It was because I was double spacing after the period at the end of a sentence. The editors sending me messages were from an independent company based on the email addresses.
Ooops..so sorry, I should have been replying to Momomomo. I read it too fast.

I rarely put any comments on my reports. I give them just enough to get my report passed.
Seems like they always ding me on the shops where you have to write an explanation fpr why the receipt did not print. The message reads something like,"Point subtracted for grammar and/or typos." I write simple declarative sentences and cut and paste the same thing each time. Fine. Whatever.
Ive done a ton of panda express shops and always gotten 9's or 10's. From the beginning of the year I noticed new editors/reviewers and I started getting 6's and 7's. This is without any feedback! I send an email to help email and shortly after I started getting 9's again. I am not doing anything differently. I would bet it was a bunch of overzealous new/young editors. At least have the integrity to say what was wrong and should be done differently.
