Because they can.
I received my payment last night. I do very little for them so I wasn't too worried about getting my $25 a little late. smiling smiley
I got mine. Not sure if it showed up last night or today in the morning. Don't really care now since its in
So what is the problem? Sounds like people are getting paid. I understand it's frustrating that the payment could be a couple days late. Is it really worth whining about? Save your energy for better causes or issues. There are MSC out there NOT paying anyone at all. Yes, MFI needs to improve their process. But this was a known issue by many as this same hiccup happened last year too. It would be nice if all companies would pay as fast as Ipsos, but I will continue to shop for MFI until i see them stop paying or cut fees to the point I won't do the shops.

It seems like some got over-worked up about something that is really not that big of an issue in life.
Nope. Just checked again. Nothing. It makes me really appreciate 2 of the companies I shop for who make this time of year a little better by paying EARLIER or more often in December than usual. Sinclair pays early by a week or 2, and ipsos pays twice per week during December instead of their usual once per week. That shows some extra consideration for their shoppers and I applaud them for that. It really helps with holiday expenses, especially for me this year since I don't receive my monthly SS check until 2 days after Christmas. Baa humbug MF!
I did not get mine today, so it looks like I won't see it until Tuesday. In my view, the reason people have a problem with it is MF pulled the same thing last year in December and it's a crappy thing to do over Christmas.
Mine has not hit my bank yet either. Crappy way to do business.
I certainly hope that as an independent contractor that you don't respond to companies with, "so what is the problem?' and submit a late report. I mean....they get their report, just not on the date that you commit to.... does that logic make sense?

The “problem” for me is that my check from MF is just shy of $1000. I worked my butt off last month with multiple overnight routes to have the extra income for Christmas, license plates, etc. Am I hungry? No. Is Christmas cancelled at my house? No. But with that much hanging out there, maybe I’m a little nervous that this will be the time they don’t pay, who knows. I haven’t meant to be dramatic, at all. But, when you put the expense out to do the shops and trust that they will pay as they do the other 11 months, it can be frustrating. I would think that at this time of year, especially, they would be a bit more understanding and appreciate our hard work. Sorry if I’ve offended anyone by “ranting”. Merry Christmas to you all!

Must take quite a tall ladder to get down from that high horse. Merry Christmas.
@KokoBWare

Not on a high horse. Just think there are more worrisome things than MFI paying a day or 2 late. Even paying a couple days late...they still pay faster than HS Brands which could take 60-90 days.

Yes, Ipsos certainly has become the pinnacle for shop payment as they increase the speed/frequency at year end. It would be nice to see the rest of the industry follow this idea. Maybe if IPSOS can take more clients from MFI...then we won't have to worry about MFI anymore :-P
Daddy states--they still pay faster than HS Brands which could take 60-90 days.

Bob comments--The key word here is COULD. In the past three yrs., I have only completed 12 jobs for HS Brands AKA Service Sleuth. My average submission to pay has been 29 days. I have not monitored the received to pay period on any work, as that is not important to me, but it would, of course, be shorter. For me, that is an acceptable time frame, especially considering that all aspects of our 18 yr. relationship have been positive and that they clearly mention their pay schedule.

From the days of Miles Standish & Evelyn to today, all is well with SS & SB.
Got paid today. Tiny Tim can finally get that operation.
My bank statement shows my MF reimbursement as of 12/26.

Ten minutes later and I'm still laughing.

I have a payment that MF shows was *DISBURSED* via direct deposit on 12/21/2023, but it has yet to show up in my bank account as of 1/2/2024.

I have emailed them today, but the only contact info I have for them is helpdesk@m***f***.com

Does anyone have any other contact info for them, or is that my best option?
Question for everyone, I've been doing MF shops seldomly the past year or so. I had a shop from late December I completed before the new year that's still in QC (been a about 10+ days now) but I expect it to be approved. Would I still be compensated this January 2024 even if gets approved within January? As long as it's before the payment date of the 20th it's gravy but it would kinda be bs if they drag their feet until next month.
Good question. Normally, when an MSC pays the following month, the language that's used includes something about it being for all shops "completed and approved" the prior month rather than just "completed." It's not unusual for me to do late-in-the-month shops for other MSCs that don't go through QC before that month ends, and yes, it'll be longer before I'm paid for them. I feel like that's almost a standard practice.
