They keep sending me emails about two of their current shops now that it is later in the month. The subject line refers to Max reimbursement. It took me a while of opening those emails to find out that Max reimbursement just means the same reimbursement they would have given me on the first day the shops were out. Somehow I hoped they would offer a bonus.
Instead of starting a new thread, I am opting to just add a new comment to this one. Has anyone had issues with any of the editors from ACL? I have done quite a bit of shops with them (not the sandwich ones) and just experienced the worst editor. I feel like she got me and another shopper mixed up. She would send me texts and emails and refer to me by a different name and her questions about my report made no sense. There are other details that I will not share until after I am reimbursed, but I have serious concerns.

Based on my experience, no issues with any of the editors. Occasionally, I'll receive feedback that the tip is post-tax. I missed a requirement on two shops I've done, but the client still accepted it. Outside of that, the reports are accepted with no further follow-up.

Fortunately, I haven't had a mix-up like the one you described.

Please don't feed the MSF trolls!

Feeding the MSF trolls bread or other human food is detrimental to their health and the environment. It can lead to malnutrition, disease, and behavioral problems in trolls, as well as water pollution and the spread of pests. Trolls are capable of finding their own food sources and don't require human assistance.

Why would they want you to tip on the tax added to the transaction? Are the going to passit on to the state?

Next they'll want us to tip on the service fee some places use for using a credit card!

Makes no sense to me.
Regarding the tip, I didn't notice that until a take-out shop. For take-out, I tip the least amount possible. I don't think I've ever seen the guidelines specify whether the tip is pre-tax or post-tax.

Regarding a fee for using a credit card, I have seen that happen at an automobile shop!

I always tip post-tax (as a diner or a shopper unless it is for a MSC like Coyle that mandates pre-tax) and have always had the post-tax tip amount reimbursed by ACL. It comes in especially handy when you're doing their 18% tip clients. I haven't had any editing issues lately but it does seem like there have been some changes to who they use as editors, perhaps brought on by the huge volume of shops being done for their sandwich client.
It's entirely possible that the editor has you and your shop confused with someone else's. It happened to me once, long ago. Not ACL. It's best to just ask the editor directly, in a nice way, if there is a mixup.
When I get a chance, I'll take "a closer look." smiling smiley

For the 18% tip shops, I've tipped 20% post-tax before. The MSC only covered 18% of the tip post-tax, which makes sense.

More often than not, I tip 20% pre-tax. Compared to a post-tax analysis for my state, this would equate to a slightly larger than 18% tip post-tax.

However, for this take-out shop, I tipped based on the minimum percentage of the pre-tax amount. The editor stated that the tip is based on the post-tax amount. sad smiley
