JM Ridgeway - When do they pay?

Normal, yes. Quite normal. They tend to need a reminder to pay. I can't remember what their stated pay timeframe is, but I've had to nudge about half of the time.

If all of your shops are December or after, yes, it is normal.

On their website, it says shops completed in any given month will be paid by the end of the next month. So December shops should be paid by the end of January.

However, when checking into this before, I *thought* I'd read somewhere else on their site that payments are two months out ~ so that December shops would be paid by the end of February. I've also been told the two month payment schedule in an email from people at JMRidgway. I'm not sure which piece of information trumps the other!

If it's one month, fine; if it's two months, also fine. I just wish I knew for absolute sure which it was! : )

(PS: I usually have to "nudge" also.)

I emailed the person about pay with no results back. I tried the scheduler and she said that she don't deal with pay and to email ann and that is who i emailed. I am not sure what to do because I did ALOT of shops for them. Who do you contact to get ahold of them ?

who do you send an email to with jm ridgeway? I sent to scheduler and she said email ann i emailed ann and got no answer I am getting reallllllllllll MAD
Just finally recieved an email from them which states that all december shops are paid in february and they are working on getting the payments out as soon as possible. I hope that it is real soon but either way thought I would update you on them. smiling smiley
Well, good; at least someone has heard from them.

After my payment issues in December, my scheduler emailed me to say, that I could email her with any further payment problems. So, when I didn't receive my payment at the end of January for November's work, I did just that. I got an email back quoting (cut & pasted) from their website, that (paraphrased) shoppers aren't to email their schedulers for payment issues, but are to email Ann.

I emailed Ann, but so far no response. No email like ktwags describes, either.

And, if they want to quote their website, how about the part that says shops are to be paid on a ONE month delay? (December shops by the end of January) Well?! If they want to pay on a two month delay, that's fine; but they really should update their website FAQ's to reflect that.

I'm still waiting for November's payments, or any word on when I can expect them.

I really do like the shops for this company, and I really do like my scheduler ~ she's been great to work with.

But I'm getting a little tired of the payment issues. Their instructions for reporting are adamant about an extremely strict deadline ~ 9AM the morning following the shop. I've never been late with one, but the way all the warnings are worded, if your report is in at 9:01 AM, you won't be paid.

So they can set strict, zero-tolerance deadlines for us... but we have to wait and wait and wait and wait and wait ~ WELL past the due date, let alone any specific time of day ~ to get paid?

Yeah. THAT'S fair.

ETA: The moment I finished posting this, I got an email from Ann. She said she will get my payments out today. Thanks, Ann! : ) Just wanted to let everyone know.

Maybe Ann read your post. My take on JR is that they pay well, at least for the shops that I have done for them, Then they juggle the money and you have to poke them to get paid. I am willing to do that once in a while if the money is very good. The MSC that had the client that I shop for paid not nearly as much but paid extremely timely. So that is what I know.

She told me the same thing about payment also. Please post when you recieve it and I will do the same. Thank you
I have done shops for years for JM Ridgway. I have had to email Anne for every payment. Once she gets my email she replies and sends my payment by paypal. This has happen for every shop that I have conducted for them. I have had to request my payment. If you are waiting for your payment go to your shop log and contact your scheduler about payment and they will email you to email Ann at payroll. She will pay you.
My check arrived in the mail today!

This time it was a computer-printed check. (In December it was a hand-written check, still w/the company name on it though.)

I was getting *really* desperate for the cash flow, too!

Just wanted to let everyone know. : )

I can top all that. I did shop in 2009 and forgot about it and got paid in 2013!! Just did another shop on 7/29. I got reimbursed on time for my expenses, but I am emailing them now about shop fee.
I was pleased and surprised to be reimbursed for a July shop expense a week after completion, but I'm still waiting for the fee for two July shops. I'm going to hold off a few weeks to see if they pay on their own, just to see. I have needed to email Ann in the past, but I don't do too much for them.

Just did a shop recently for them so in a month or two an email to ann will be in order.

Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.
I used to do many shops for JM Ridgway, and most required a follow-up email to pay.

But then I moved, and there is only one shop out here that I can do for them... and phone shops. For the past two months I have noticed phone shops are being paid very quickly. It's been taking only about ten days from invoicing Frank until the phone shop payment reaches my Paypal.

Plan the work. Work the plan.
Please keep us updated as to whether or not you get paid the fees for July. I am having the same issue--I think. Got $40 for four shops but not the other $72. No explanation.
Received payment today for shops completed in July with no prodding.

I know I'm resurrecting a slightly-old thread here, but this is pertinent...

In a "Jobs in your area" notification email I got today, there was this:

PAYMENT WILL BE MADE TO YOU WITHIN A WEEKS TIME IF YOU EMAIL THE FOLLOWING TO FRANK.K@JMRIDGWAY.COM
1. NAME
2. LOCATION NAME AND ADDRESS
3. DATE YOU SHOPPED

This is the first time I've noticed this in any of their job notice emails... anyone know how long this has been the case? Has it been there a while and I've just skimmed past it? Or is it really brand-new?

A week's time would be pretty awesome.

If it is brand-new, I wonder if it's retroactive to jobs I did a week or two ago...
