Shadow Agency bad/Summit Scheduling good!

As I was going through some postings about a week ago I came across a note about Judith Gill with Summit Scheduling and it was very positive. I noticed I had done a shop for Summit Scheduling with Shadows Agency in August and had never gottten paid. I did as the thread suggested and contacted Jill. She too was unable to find anything but I had all the documentation and back up and forwarded it to her. She is going to pay me even though Shadows evidently didn;t keep very good records. I applaud her for doing the right thing and hope there are not others out there with the problem I had with Shadows.

I've worked for Shadow Agency quite a bit over the last year and a half and found them to be professional and fair. Have you contacted them directly?

darmody2,
What did Shadow Agency say about the payment?

I have shopped for them for years without problems.

Poor customer service? Don't get mad; get video.
I just did a new home job for them yesterday. They always email me with
new homes in my area, and are professional to a T. There is a place on
their site showing your finished jobs and when you will be paid.
Did you remember to upload the business card, and shop the correct target?
They once said they were paying with a Visa card, but actually paid me instead.
I respect them, and have been with them for years.

I did shops in early February/March 2011. I was paid about 90 days later after inquiring about payment. I did 5 new homes in July 2011 in the sweltering Heat that weren't close by. I have been emailing and calling them and still nothing. I even spoke with the owner himself. He told me to send an email and he would look into it. Still nothing. I will take nothing else from them I don't know what their deal is.

So strange because the beginning comments were all positive but my experience was as yours. They are off my shopping list.
Thanks for assuring me that it wasn't just me.
@prettygul1 @Darmody Did you check your Shadow Agency profile to make sure that your PayPal button is checked at "Yes"?
I have got to say, I read about Summit being good here and I am relatively new... so I went to their website to sign up with them. Their website is down for new applications but has a contact us link if you want to shop with them. So I did. I have gotten 3 emails, 3 different people within 24 hours, who are all very eager to help me help them, get jobs done. They have directed me to each website to sign up with, they given instructions for application acceptance and so forth. Great team at Summit Scheduling (so far winking smiley, I even emailed one person at about 12:30 am last night that I did everthing she told me to, I got a direct email back in about 10 minutes that she took care of it and my application was going though, ... It wasn't an automated email either.

So far my opinon...Summit Scheduling good. smiling smiley

Thanks for getting me there!
I have received a payment before so I doubt that is it. I did speak to the owner who said he would look into, that was in mid January. I sent an email through their site. I got a response yesterday asking if I had sent an invouce. I an sure I did but I filled it out again. I will let everyone know the outcome.
Yes, they are quite strict about the invoice thing.

I cannot understand why a shceduling company would be paying a shopper, BTW.

I was referring to darmody's post about being paid by Summit. Sorry for the confusion.

Is anyone having issues with getting paid from the Shadow Agency recently? I have emailed the contact person twice and she said she would look into it, but that was eight days ago.
I have done a good bit of work for them and never had any problem with timely payment until this last time. I did 4 shops in December and checked on them February 9. On February 10, I was told it was being mailed out that day but the check never showed up. Three weeks later, it was determined the check would have to be re-issued since it must have been lost in the mail.

In short, after being told they had gone to 45 days payment, I received this most recent payment in just under 90 days.
kedmunds1, when did you learn they went to a 45 day payment schedule? Did your scheduler inform you of this? If that is the case, I am really disappointed.
I did a shop for them in April, on their website my shop shows denied and they have never paid me. I am really getting frustrated as I have used the support contact twice on their website to see why it is denied and I was not paid. I uploaded all of the documentation that they needed, the only problem is that the target passed me off to another sales person. This was explained both by email and in the report.

I don't know where else to go to get paid for this shop and to find out why I was denied. No one answers my email on the contact area.

Any ideas?

I beg to differ. Summit agreed to change the date on a shop, and then did not do so. The scheduler has not responded to multiple emails to fix the problem, but she still has time to ask me if I'm going to do the shop on the now overdue date. I will avoid Summit in the future.
Are these video shops that people are not getting paid for?

How do you guys submit your invoices to this company?

Anything other than a written shop must be invoiced. I have an Excel spreadsheet that was sent to me by my scheduler at Shadow. I tweaked it a little and use it. I do recorded call projects and video work for them, with the occasional written shop thrown in if I'm on a route and am near one of the locations.
I miss working with The Shadow Agency's previous scheduler. Their current scheduler seems to cut the deadlines close, then begs shoppers to squeeze last minute shops into their routes. She seems to be a little disorganized.
I was thinking of signing up with them but this thread made me worried I might not get paid.
I had a situation with Shadow Agency recently with a payment issue. I was reconciling my shop payment schedule and noticed a shop done for them was over 120 days without payment. I e-mailed the scheduler. She was prompt to respond with an apology and said she would look into the issue. In the meantime, I was contacted by another rep for the company inquiring about my issue which resulted in another apology for the oversight. Long story short, I received payment within one week of my inquiry.
I want to almost body slam companies when they don't pay on schedule, but then wipe sweat off my brow when they don't do the same to me for making glaring mistakes in my shops. Sometimes mistakes happen. A long as the one that caused the mistake (sometimes me, sometimes the MSC) owns and corrects it, that proves the character of the one that did the wrong. That being said, Shadow Agency ranks high in my books even though I have not done many shops with them. They resolved the issue without delay or hassle and were sincerely apologetic for the oversight.
I am just seeing the message below. "Summit" consists of 27 people, and I own the company. If you ever have an issue please feel free to contact me directly at judith@summitscheduling.com and I will take care of it.

Summit Scheduling and Editing
I was just wondering if maybe this topic should be two different threads, since The Shadow Agency and Summit Scheduling are two different organizations. I'm pretty certain Summit schedules for other MS companies.
